Procrastination

I'm happy to announce that I have not completed an ounce of schoolwork! The DSL was activated, ergo Laurel is more addicted to the Internet than ever. But gosh, I overcame so many obstacles to get my DSL. My Win2000 Server operating system wouldn't accept the SBC Yahoo! DSL installation kit. So I planned to switch over to XP (no comments on how it was obtained). But Server OSs apparently don't support upgrades, so I'd have to do a clean installation. Two operating systems on my 12GB computer? Eh, no. After trying to make a boot disk (successfully made one, but to no avail), I dug up the System Restore discs from Compaq (my nemesis), and went back to Win98, where I could upgrade to XP. In my hurry and with a lack of forethought, I forgot to look for the CD Key (this was a legal copy!) before I installed. So after I wiped my hard disk and was stuck with Win98, I finally realized that I didn't have the CD Key. *tear* I thought I'd lost my computer forever! Luckily, I found it (with no help whatsoever from Mother Dearest), and voila! I'm here (on XP with DSL).

I'm quite tempted to download The Prince of Tides, the movie. Reading a 567 page book that I have no interest in does not suit me. SBC gave me 10 music downloads from MusicNow and $10 credit at Movieline. A movie download rental place? I'm tempted to try burning it. Can you believe they don't have The Sound of Music there? That must be my favorite movie xP.

Abobe Creative Studio came out (a while back actually). I have a penchant for new software, but I doubt it's so very different from version 7.
