I am dealing with an attorney here who is a complete ass nugget. He's the first one who has acted this way, and I guess I should be grateful that I've had a year and a half in practice without encountering more jerks. But this guy, oooo, he's really pissing me off.
Of course, we'll have to see how he reacts to the letter I wrote to him today. I basically am extending him a professional courtesy, and I told him not to make me regret doing so since his actions thus far have reflected a "deplorable lack of courtesy."
I think the professional ethics teachers at FSU would be proud of the way I've handled this guy so far. He's tried to pick a fight with me twice now, and I've been calm and professional both times. I think that calm attitude and my refusal to fight with him has got to be pissing him off. Plus, I'd imagine that being lectured (or what amounts to being lectured anyway) about professionalism by an attorney as young as I am has got to piss him off.
It will be interesting to see how he acts in the future.
Still, having jerkface shouting in my ear was not the best way to begin my day. *sigh*
