Have I every mentioned I'm addicted to Coffee ?
While I was in Mosul Air Field for three months doing almost nothing all day, I drank over 120 ounces a day. I own a 20 ounce "mug" that looks pretty much like a Pot of coffee. And when I was Hungry in MAF, instead of eating at the chow hall, I'd fetch some oatmeal packets, and throw it in with the last bit of coffee, creating a wonderful mixture I call "Coffeemeal". I know, not very inventive. The inherent problem with this though is a little (literally) thing called Mold. If you left the mug alone ( with oatmeal remains or just coffee ) for more than a day, you'd have a wonderfully disgusting STANK coming from the newly formed colony of exotic Iraqi bacteria, mold, ebola, etc etc that you'd be growing....So cleaning the mug was prolly the hardest work I did while in MAF.
These days, its a little hotter ( it was actually COLD in MAF (Nov - Feb), BUT I work night crew, so my coffee intake has to be controlled, just a bit. Right now I'm hitting my first refill of my 20 ouncer, so by the time I arrive at work I'll have a solid 40oz in me. That way I'll be burnt out by midnight ( its 6pm now ) and I'll just bum out and maybe nap the rest of the night...
That is, unless we have work to do...which is something that is unusually more apparent now that we are close to "the end" of this fucking jack shit of a deployment. But you all should know how I feel about that by now.
In other news, I've effectively spent ~$2000 on my new pc already, AND I don't even have Hard Drives, an OS, or the all important video card yet. Easily another $1000....BUT I do have a case, PSU, mobo, cpu, memory, and a sweet 24" widescreen Dell monitor already purchased and ready for some serious usage when I get back.
I feel sorry for my girlfriend, because I'll be forced to choose between her and building my pc !!! haha !!! Fortunately, I'm a coffee drinker, and hopefully I can get by on 2 hours of sleep a night.
But then theres the whole plan for me and some other guys ( my bro, my cousin, and a friend on this deployment ) to start new chars on World of Warcraft when I get back. Oooooh such a sweet plan... Go to a low populated server, go crazy..all the good stuff...AND, according to my cousin, my bro has good enough gear on his main to sell it for over $500 REAL money, which would in turn actually give him a profit for playing a game that he's enjoyed for the past year.
