-- winter? Last time I checked, it was spring. Not that you'd be able to tell in Ashland-- rainy day central.
[Blip. Looks like it's that time again, Route.
The 'gear is focused on a pair of feet, clad in bright yellow rain boots, attached to a pair of ridiculously spindly legs. Glimpses of white claws can be caught at the screen's edges as the 'gear is tilted upward toward the speaker: a very skinny girl with dark blue hair. She doesn't look like she's even a teenager yet; she even has one of those oh-so-charming semi-gaps in her teeth, signs that her adult teeth haven't grown in yet. She is dressed not for New Bark's snow, but for the "rainy day central" she is speaking of: peg-leg jeans and a raincoat that matches her boots. She'd probably be holding it tighter around herself to protect from the occasional icy breeze, but her hands are busy carrying a large, orange-colored egg. She frowns, looking perplexed.]
Not that that's really a bad thing at all, and... I don't think this is Ashland-- not enough of those Shakespearian weirdoes running around-- it's just...
[She glances around, and the screen picks up on a few trainers meandering around New Bark Town, along with their respective mutant, elemental critters. No Shakespearian weirdoes, just... well, mutant critters.]
... Okay, this definitely isn't Ashland. But I still don't-- [Her gaze is fixed on her fellow trainers until the 'gear focused on her gets her attention-- she turns and approaches, head cocked to one side.] Huh? What'd you find, cat?
[She takes the 'gear, and the "cat"-- a mangy Sneasel-- quickly climbs onto her shoulder, peering in at the thing with a curious gaze that matches hers.]
What is this thing--? Even weirder than that talking computer from earlier... Uh, hello? Anyone in there?
[OoC: Anyone in New Bark-- feel free to approach her while she's figuring out how to work her Pokegear. c:]
