I believe there must be a community before a functional force to fight with. There is not enough of a reason to have an army here.

I think differently. I have seen enough of the people here to know that this community is composed of an unusually high number of unusually skilled warriors. A functional military need not be large - particularly since our numbers are small in general - merely organized, and with each soldier secure in the sense that he has his fellow men to rely on
