like the last piratey one, probably temporary and only for good moods (which, for those of you that dont know, isn't often):
i had the day off work today, since it's a civic holiday in quebec, so i went and got a haircut and did some grocery shopping. i'd say the hair looks pretty good.
i called Rogers (my ISP) up on friday. i had a 25% off discount with them, which ended a month ago. this drove my calbe bill up to something in the neighbourhood of $55 from $41.12.. i rang em up and said "hey, look, there's a cheaper isp in town that offers the same thing as you. can you guys do anything to keep me from switching?"
turns out that since i've been with them for 6 months, i can get a $10 off discount before taxes which brings my monthly bill back down to $42.90'ish. which is entirely cool by me :D hurray for social engineering (i had to talk real sexy, like mel on the phone. ... HEHE)

(oh yeah i'll post hawt pictuars of my haircut sooner or later. still dont know if i should shave or not..)
