just then, a loud tinkling sound of a bell caught their attention. wufan quickly turned towards the direction of the sound, noting that the other kids were already running towards the edge of the playground.
"yay! ice-cream, ice-cream!" chanyeol shouted in happiness as he dragged little sehun towards the ice-cream man.
an idea struck wufan's little head.
"joonmyunnie, wait here, okay? i know what to do," wufan said. joonmyun watched as the other ran off to join the small crowd around the ice-cream man.
a few minutes later, wufan came back with two strawberry-flavored ice-creams in his hands. catching his breath, he handed them to joonmyun.
"i think jongin likes strawberry ice-creams. i told donghae-hyung what happened so he gave an extra scoop. let's go and give the ice-cream to him," wufan said, smiling brightly. joonmyun instantly beamed and nodded, wiping away his tears.
they approached jongin, who was sniffing and blowing his nose with the sleeve of his shirt. when he noticed their presence, he pretended not to look and nudged at yixing's feet.
"j-jonginnie, i-- i'm sorry," joonmyun said. "here! wufan bought us ice-creams! it's your favorite!"
jongin peeked at joonmyun, who was holding out an ice-cream. joonmyun smiled and jongin tentatively took the ice-cream from him.
"thank you," he murmured, avoiding joonmyun's gaze.
"i'm sorry for making you sad," joonmyun said, voice trailing off. jongin's head perked up in alarm.
"no, joonmyun-hyung! it's not your fault," jongin exclaimed. "i should not sulk."
they both smiled at each other and from that moment, joonmyun knew that jongin was not angry at him anymore.
"i'm sorry, too," wufan said suddenly, extending his hand. jongin grinned and shook it.
"wufan, where's your ice-cream?" joonmyun asked, noticing that there was nothing in wufan's hands.
"oh, i gave mine to yixing," wufan shrugged, pointing towards the said person as he shyly offered the strawberry ice-cream to luhan.
"it's okay. the three of us can share!" jongin exclaimed.
joonmyun and wufan beamed and the three of them huddled together to share the ice-cream.
they became the best of friends in no time. wufan and jongin would sometimes fight and argue to get joonmyun's attention but when they did, they would receive a good scolding from him. however, in the end, they would still share ice-creams and build sandcastles and play hide-and-seek together.

This so cute. And Wufan and Jongin tried to get Junmyeon's attention is so sweet. XD
