easily reaching out to open the chiller with its handle, kris was surprised to feel that it doesn’t budge. “what the?”

he tugs and tugs and tugs with his enormous to gigantic hands which was, by the way, very known to almost all of his female co-workers for god knows what reason it may be.

a few seconds later, all kris could remember was clumsily landing flat on his butt after exerting too much force. seeing the broken handle in his hands, he mutters an “oh.”

kris sees yeollie pouting at the corner of his eye as he stands up with an innocent smile plastered on his face. “i guess i was really just that eager to drink a glass of water.”
yeollie as usual, smiles after that.

after drinking, his self-proclaimed medication skills seems useless because it apparently worsened the pain in his stomach as it was obvious enough to see the pain in his face.

the concerned look on yeollie’s face made kris chuckle. “don’t worry, i’m fine.”

kris then stares at the broken handle placed at the kitchen counter and thought of something that made his thick eyebrows scrunch.

curious yeollie wanted to ask what was wrong and would even like to assure to his owner that he’s fine even without any other itsy bitsy parts. but kris immediately turns his back towards him and made his way at the living room with the laptop in his hands.

a part of yeollie thinks that maybe kris feels like playing assassin’s creed early in the morning instead eating his favorite scrambled egg for breakfast. but the other part of him thinks that maybe it’s time.

he knows that he’s getting old-10 years for fridges was like 25 years in human life.

he knows that he’s getting useless-the way that the can of coke kris has placed was still not even a degree colder in just a few minutes.

he knows that he’s getting replaced-sooner or later.

yeollie sees kris get up from the couch, leaving his laptop at the coffee table. from there, all he could see was an open tab from a website called ebay.

he doesn’t notice that kris has already passed by with newspaper in his hands as he walks towards the bathroom, the only place that he should’ve went to cure his stomach ache.

kris eventually takes out the catalog coming from exo’s new list of appliances on sale placed in between the newspaper before leaving the rest outside the bathroom door.

yeollie feels a screw getting loosen inside of him.
