Joonmyun reaches down for his briefcase as the train comes to his stop, and his heart jumps when he sees Jongdae do the same. He follows her out onto the platform and waits for the train to move on before he catches her sleeve. "Listen," he says, trying not to let his nervousness show, "if you ever want to get dinner or something, I'm, uh. I'd like to take you."

"Shouldn't I be the clingy one?" Jongdae teases, but there's a spot of color high in her cheeks and she smiles shyly after she says it. "But, yeah, I…that would be nice."

"Okay, well, let me-" Joonmyun fumbles through his pockets until he finds his phone. "Um, what's your number?" He copies it into his contacts as she tells him, then sends her a message with his name.

When her phone buzzes, her eyes flick up to him. "Joonmyun, huh? Well, Joonmyun-oppa, I'll see you later."

"Yes, I'm looking forward to it." On impulse, Joonmyun leans down and presses a kiss to her cheek, and when he pulls back her eyes are wide. "Happy birthday, Jongdae," he murmurs, and turns to walk away.

Then a hand catches his sleeve, and when he looks back, Jongdae's still blushing but she's got a grin on her face as well. "On second thought," she says, her eyebrow quirking up, "why wait?"
