Re: baekhyun/chanyeol (3/4) anonymous March 18 2013, 02:11:01 UTC
They begin to play and Chanyeol thinks that Baekhyun doesn't stand a chance, because he is smaller and not as build as him, but then he is lying panting heavily on the grass and completely defeated. Baekhyun offers him a hand and helps him to get up, looking not even half as out-worn as Chanyeol.

"Seems like I underestimated you," he says, still breathless. Baekhyun laughs.

"Woah," Kyungsoo gasps. "Mr. Byun is so good!" he exclaims awe-struck, eyes going incredibly huge and filled with admiration. Baekhyun laughs again.

"I think we should take a break now," he says and glances at his wristwatch. "Oh, time for lunch." The three of them go back inside and decide to order pizza, because they are way too tired to cook and too hungry to wait for too long. Their food arrives soon and they make themselves comfortable on the couch. Chanyeol watches silently, as Baekhyun cuts the large pizza pieces smaller for his little son and makes sure that Kyungsoo eats properly. Somehow, it brings a smile upon his lips and makes him feel strangely happy. The rest of the day, Chanyeol spends with his son drawing and reading and playing the piano. Baekhyun withdraws to his room and lets them have their bonding time and Chanyeol couldn't be more thankful for that.

"There's seriously no need for you to feel that way," Baekhyun says, when Chanyeol goes to thank him, after he has brought Kyungsoo to bed. "I'm really happy to see Kyungsoo being so bubbly again. The vacation will do him just as good as it will do you."

"Still," Chanyeol insists. "I appreciate your help a lot." Baekhyun's eye cringe into adorable half moons, as he smiles at Chanyeol. For the second time, Chanyeol is rendered speechless by his smile and all he can do is to crook out a weak Good night, before he stumbles to his own room. As he lies awake in his bed and wishing for sleep to finally engulf him, he tries not to think about how much he trusts and depends on a stranger he has met only a few months ago and how much that very stranger has done for him already.

The next morning, Chanyeol surprises everyone by getting up earlier and making breakfast. Kyungsoo is absolutely excited to eat what his father has personally prepared for him and Baekhyun is thankful for not having to cook himself. Afterwards, Chanyeol brings Kyungsoo to school and makes an appointment with his teachers to talk to them about his son's progress. He gives Baekhyun the day off, who goes out to meet up with some friends, attempts to cook lunch and fails miserably. When Kyungsoo comes back home, he takes him out to eat and buys him a new bike. He spends the afternoon trying to teach his son how to ride the bike, until Kyungsoo's piano teacher arrives. Then, he cleans up the kitchen, orders sushi for dinner and relaxes a bit in front of the TV. Soon enough, Baekhyun returns home and joins him. They discuss the news and recent politics, until Kyungsoo's teacher leaves and the tiny boy joins them as well. After eating dinner and getting done with everything for the day, the three of them go to bed.

The following days pass in a similar manner. Chanyeol makes sure to spend as much time as possible with his son and tries to make it up to Baekhyun that the latter had to work more because of his hectic work schedule. He meets up with Kyungsoo's teachers and is more than just glad that his son is doing fine despite what he has gone through. He also spends some time with Baekhyun in private, when Kyungsoo hasn't returned from school or any other activities yet, and finds out more and more things about Baekhyun that makes him admire him a little bit more.

"So you wanted to become a nanny, because you were raised up by one as well?" Chanyeol asks one afternoon, when his son is practicing playing the piano again. Baekhyun nods.

"Yeah, I like children and I figured that parents, who hire a nanny, must be in a difficult situation. Otherwise they'd raise their children themselves, right? And since I went through the same," he explained and paused for a moment, trying to figure out how to express his thoughts. "I think I can emphasize with the children and their parents and use my experience to help them out." Chanyeol mouths an understanding Ah.
