"Then the first step is to introduce yourself, idiot," his hyung dictates.

"Join her cooking class," Kyungsoo tries. "You can cook pretty well. I'm sure she'll notice you more."

"Send her secret admirer flowers," Yixing says nonchalantly, eyes staring at a stray string on Jongin's sweater. "And show her you can take care of your sweaters."

"Smile more," Chanyeol commands, pulling Jongin's pouting lips up with long fingers. "Girls love smiles."

"Why don't you," Yifan suggests, eyes on his girl, Junmyeon, their fingers lacing together. "Try to make her laugh. It worked for me, didn't it?"

Huh. Why not?

Yifan's suggestion doesn't fail like Jongin's awkward introduction or cookie-burning, but it doesn't have the intended effect either.

Because every time Sehun giggles quietly at Jongin's lame knock-knock jokes or laughs with the class when he squabbles with the professor, Jongin thinks, no, he knows he's the only one falling in love.

She gives the same laughs to everyone, he realizes, but his stupid heart jumps every time anyway. And each time he's on the receiving end of those manufactured expressions, Jongin is falling falling falling...
