There is something about the way Joonmyun looks at Jongin, there is that look of love that has never been there before, or so the members say. They all praise Jongin for bringing this side out of their leader and the way he returns Joonmyun's gaze is just endearing to the sight of the others.
"Don't you think it's adorable how they can just look at each other and you automatically feel the love?" Baekhyun coos to the rest who will listen as they take peeks at Jongin and Joonmyun just watching TV, trying not to disturb their small amount of togetherness.
"It really is." Kyungsoo replies, it's almost as if they're watching some Korean Drama.
"Wait - wait! They're going to look at each other!" Lu Han whispers excitedly as he slaps Baekhyun's arm repeatedly.
The moment Jongin and Joonmyun look at each other, all three boys try their best not to squeal.
"I've never seen Joonmyun hyung look at anyone like that." Lu Han says dreamily, as if Joonmyun is a character from a show and Jongin is his knight in shining armor, and not their band mates.
Yifan walks past the three in his walk to his room and tries to ignore his band mates, tries not to hear the words they're saying but it's too late. All he can hear is I've never seen Joonmyun hyung look at anyone like that.
Yifan knows it's not their fault, that they didn't know any better. He knows that but he needs someone to blame, someone who he can dump these useless feelings of pain to. He doesn't need these feelings and no one wants them. But they don't seem to leave him.
Before he goes back to his room, he takes a look at the couple on the sofa. Jongin has his arms around Joonmyun securely. It's obvious they're barely paying any attention to the TV as Jongin whispers what Yifan can only assume to be sweet nothings in Joonmyun's ear.
Joonmyun takes that moment to look at Jongin, look into his eyes and from where Yifan is standing he can see the way those eyes shine and glisten. He can see the emotion, the love and everything that used to be there when Joonmyun had once loved him and not Jongin. He can see it.
Yifan wants to yank Joonmyun away from Jongin's hold but knows that he can't, it's not his right. He doesn't need to see it but he knows Jongin's eyes hold the same amount of emotion and feeling just as Joonmyun's gaze does.
His heart breaks a little as he enters his room and closes the door. All he can think about is how Joonmyun used to look at him like that, how those eyes used to shine for him, used to love him.
But that's all in the past now.
