Jongin is entranced. That sleek brown fur, and those eyes. Not to mention the black tail. It was perfect.
The third day, he had walked into the pet shop and pretended to look around. His eyes always fleeted to the little cutie at the corner of the shop, yapping happily.
The fourth day he stepped into the shop, he had a big ass coat on that he had borrowed from his friend Chanyeol. He would have looked really suspicious to people for such an attire, the coat losely fitting over him (because Chanyeol was a lot bigger that him) if it wasn't raining and only a few people walked in the streets. He enters the pet shop and saunters over to the puppy area where the cutie was located. He looks around if someone was watching him (the shop was fairly empty and the shopkeeper at the cashier is busy reading a magazine). The puppy was fast asleep and this was the perfect moment for Jongin as he scooped up the little thing and put it inside his coat. He hurriedly walks to the entrance and into the pouring streets quickly hailing a cab to bring him and his new puppy home.
Unbeknownst to him, Minseok the shopkeeper had saw the scene unfolding and had kept his amused face behind the magazine he pretended to read. He doesn't usually tolerate people stealing from his uncle's pet shop but this particular guy was cute so he let him pass and just decided to tell his uncle to deduct the dog's price off his salary.
But he promised to find the guy who stole the puppy. To think that he could let a cute puppy-napper get away would be a crime in itself. Well, technically, puppy-napping is a crime but you know what I mean.

"You what?" Joonmyeon screeches at Jongin who had appeared all drenched in front of their shared dorm room carrying an equally drenched puppy inside his coat. "You stole a freaking puppy?"
"I didn't steal him hyung. I saved him from his future owners that might abuse him if they end up adopting him." he tells his hyung as he towels his hair then towels the puppy after.
"What the heck were you thinking? I mean, what if the shopkeeper had saw you and alerted the police? You'd be all over the news and the headlines would be 'Kim Jongin, 20 arrested for alleged puppy-napping'." Joonmyeon continued on with his tirade of how irresponsible Jongin was and all this and that but Jongin had toned him out and kept busy keeping the puppy dry.
"Jongin? Are you even listening to me?" he says and Jongin holds up the puppy to his face.
"Hyung. Look at him. He's practically begging to be puppy-napped. Isn't he so cute?" he coos and Joonmyeon has to agree. He holds up his hands in utter defeat.
"Okay fine, keep him. I don't care if you go to jail and your parents disown you. But remember that I warned you."
