Junmyeon has a habit of staying in the university library's until its closing time.
9:30 PM.
He prefers studying there; he enjoys the peace and quiet the library provides.
Junmyeon always stays on the fourth floor (the Periodical section and where theses and dissertations are stored), where less students stay. It is the top floor and regularly only a few bother going up there, unless it's midterms or finals week, then it will be jam-packed with students.
A librarian assistant has informed Junmyeon that it's almost closing time and he should vacate the library premises. Junmyeon complies, gets up from
his seat, lifts his bag from the floor, and leaves.
His dorm is just 10 minutes away from the school vicinity. He's in no rush to get home, but not really excited either. Two things: Baekhyun and the elevator. Baekhyun's a nice guy and a very good and trusted friend, but as a roommate he's too noisy and that is the main reason why
Junmyeon prefers to study in the library.
As for the elevator--he's claustrophobic. The elevator's small, fitting only 3-4 passengers at a time. He could opt to climb the stairs, but he's tired most of the time, lacking sleep-Baekhyun's fault again with the noises he makes every night, and his dorm room is on the 8th floor.
He arrives at the dorm, with the security guard greeting him. He greets back. He then makes his way to the open elevator. He takes a deep breath before stepping in. He presses 8 but a guy tells him to hold the elevator doors. Junmyeon does. He recognizes the guy who asked him to hold the doors. It is Wu Yi Fan, co-captain of the basketball team. He just got out from practice. He enters the elevator and presses 12.
Junmyeon is taking deep breaths, assuring himself on his mind that it's going to be over in a short while. Yi Fan, meanwhile, is in his own world (galaxy, he would say), listening to music.
But then, the elevator has come to an abrupt stop. They are on the fifth floor when it happened. Junmyeon, panicking, presses the Emergency button, and calls out for help. Yi Fan unplugs his earphones and is calm about the whole situation.
“We apologize for the inconvenience. Our technicians will be fixing the problem in a short while. Please stay calm, you are in no danger. Thank you.”
A man from the control room announced from the intercom.
Junmyeon sits down and starts hyperventilating.
“You okay?” Yi Fan asks.
Junmyeon shakes his head. He, then, gets something from his bag looking for something.
“Shit.” He mutters.
“Okay, calm down. What can I do to help?” Yi Fan says.
Junmyeon doesn't respond. He keeps on looking for something inside his bag. He is close to tears. He throws his bag to the corner, stands up, and paces in the elevator.
"Hey." Yi Fan is trying to get Junmyeon's attention, and eventually calm him down. Junmyeon does not look at him or respond to him.
Yi Fan, wanting to get some peace and quiet, stops Junmyeon by the shoulders and suddenly hugs him. He was not sure how or why he reacted like that. He wanted Junmyeon to calm down, sit, and wait for the elevator to restore its operation.
Junmyeon, on his mind, is still panicking but somehow feels relieved. He smells the cologne on Yi Fan's shirt. It smelled cool and it was not overpowering. He wants to get out of the elevator badly.
Yi Fan feels that Junmyeon is still trembling.
So he lets go of the hug and starts rubbing Junmyeon's arms, to calm him down.
"Thank you. But I would like to sit down now." Junmyeon smiles. So Yi Fan takes his hands off Junmyeon's arms. Junmyeon grabs his bag from the corner and sits. So does Yi Fan. Yi Fan is now facing Junmyeon.

“Thanks for that. Sorry for going all panicky and stuff. I'm claustrophobic. I'm still anxious about all this. I'm glad that you're here." Junmyeon responds clutching on to his bag tightly.
“What were you looking for inside your bag?” Yi Fan asks, remembering that Junmyeon was looking for something.
“A brown paper bag, so I could breathe in it.”
“Ah I see.”
“My name’s Kim Junmyeon.” Junmyeon reached his hand to Yi Fan for a handshake.
“Wu Yi F-,” Yi Fan was cut off but returns the handshake.
“I know who you are. You’re the most talked about basketball in campus. How could I miss?”
Yi Fan scoffs.
“Nice meeting you Kim Junmyeon.”
“You too Wu Yi Fan.”
Yi Fan plugs an earphone to his ears and hands the other one to Junmyeon. Junmyeon gets it and plugs it in one of his ears. Seeing that Junmyeon has to arch forward, Yi Fan moves to Junmyeon’s side so they would be comfortable listening to music together.
“What’s the song?” He asks.
Yi Fan shows his iPod to him. Phillip Phillips’s song: Gone, Gone, Gone is playing.
“This is a nice song.” Junmyeon remarks. Yi Fans hums as a response.
“Are you okay now?” Yi Fan asks.
“A little.”
Yi Fan rotates the clicker with his thumb and changes the song. Yi Fan wants to lighten the mood up a bit.
“What’s this?” Junmyeon asks puzzled.
“Just listen to the song.” Yi Fan says trying to stifle his laughter.
“Jizz in my pants.” Yi Fan sings. Junmyeon laughs. They are listening to the Lonely Island’s Jizz in My Pants.
“Oh my god! This is horrible and hilarious at the same time.” Junmyeon says laughing.
Junmyeon starts laughing out loud, clapping his hands when the Lonely Island suddenly starts to sing in falsetto.
When the song ended, Junmyeon is lying on the floor, still laughing, wiping tears off his eyes.
Yi Fan thinks it nice to see that Junmyeon has calmed down. He thinks he’s adorable when he laughs too. When Junmyeon’s done laughing, he sits back up, and smiles at Yi Fan.
“Thanks.” He says. Yi Fan smiles back at him.
For a whole 40 more minutes, they talked about the galaxy, in which Yi Fan argues that he is from the galaxy and he would like to go back there one day. They discuss about powers they would like to have, Yi Fan says he would like to fly, while Junmyeon wants the power of water, for no apparent reason. They talk about their roommates. Yi Fan’s roommate is Park Chanyeol, a few millimetres shorter than Yi Fan (as Yi Fan described him), smiles all the time, and is very noisy. Junmyeon says that his roommate is noisy too.
“We should introduce them to one another.” Junmyeon commented.
They talked about food, in particular: pizza, ice cream, and steak. And both are craving for it.
“Hey, uhm. I know we just met and all-,”
“Hey I just met you but this is crazy…” Junmyeon sings. Yi Fan raises an eyebrow, silently judging him for singing a Carly Rae Jepsen song.
“Sorry, continue.”
“I know we just met but I would like to take you out to dinner sometime.” Yi Fan says.
“I would love that.” Junmyeon replies with a smile.
Suddenly, the power is back on. After an hour, the elevator is moving again.
“Again, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your cooperation. Have a good night.” The same man from earlier announced this.
Junmyeon is relieved. Yi Fan too. 6, 7, and 8.
Junmyeon has arrived on his floor. The doors open. He looks at Yi Fan, and says another thanks. He exits the elevator. Turns right and heads to room 808.
But as the doors were closing, Yi Fan puts a stop to it, using his bag and follows Junmyeon.
As Junmyeon was opening the door, he sees that Yi Fan followed him.
“Yi Fan, what are you-,”
Yi Fan kissed him. When the kiss was over, Junmyeon stared at Yi Fan and blushed.
“Are you free tomorrow night?” Yi Fan asks.
“No.” Junmyeon said sounding apologetic.
“I’m free the next day.” Junmyeon says suddenly.
Yi Fan smiles.
“Great! There’s a restaurant three blocks away from here. It’s called The 100. I’ll pick you up here tomorrow at around 6:30, is that fine?”
Junmyeon nods.
“See you then Kim Junmyeon.”
“You too, Wu Yi Fan.” Junmyeon smiles as he enters his dorm room.
