Where’s my Jonginnie!” Minseok coos, and Junmyeon wonders if his brother had a little bit too much wine with supper. Jongdae shrugs, but follows his husband in search of their son.

They find him on Yifan’s lap, but not for long when the child spots his parents. He jumps into their arms, deciding that yes, he does in fact like them more than the tall, funny man who says silly words.

“So, what did Jongin get himself into tonight?”

“Other than peeing all over Yifan, he learnt how to say a few words,” Junmyeon announces, hoping his plan will work, “Yifan, can you do the honours?”

Yifan speaks, “Jongin, say Umma and Appa!”

Jongin opens his mouth, but the word that comes out is none other than “FUCK!” Jongin practically screams.

The room goes silent, except for baby Jongin’s oblivious humming.

Minseok’s face twitches, “Junmyeon, would you mind explaining to me what my son has just said?” his voice is calm, but Junmyeon knows his brother is about to explode.

“Um…”

“Please, enlighten me as to why that is my baby’s first ever word?”

Junmyeon thinks, if he’s quick enough, he can dash behind his brother and out the door.

“IT WAS ALL YIFAN’S FAULT BYE!” and Junmyeon makes his escape, leaving behind a betrayed fiancé, an angry brother, a perplexed brother-in-law and a very, very happy child.

Jongin soon forgets the word, but Minseok doesn’t let his brother come over for another three months. When Junmyeon does finally come over, he makes sure he has diapers on hand.
