After local bank fees, the current total that has been sent to China is:
$3,360 CAD!
(around $3256 USD)
As you can see, EXOST has received the money and are in the process of buying supplies, so it is now time for us to go full force with this project! I apologize for the amount of time it took us to get the transfer to the right hands, but there were many unforeseen circumstances in regards to the bank and paypal issues. Like I said before, we weren't expecting this big a response \o/ so we prepared to transfer a much smaller amount before.
We need to lay out a few ground rules so that everything from here on goes as smoothly as possible. It is of my biggest concern that everyone gets what they paid for at this point.
For artists:
It is, obviously, your responsibility to complete your assignments as promised in the time frame that you initially gave your buyer.
Please be careful to keep in contact with your buyer. A message once a week or so should suffice, but if they contact you, please respond within 48 hours so they are not left hanging/worried for any reason.
Do not let the amount of the donation completely sway the quality of your work. Your buyers will have certain expectations of course, but don't drive yourself crazy because you think you are personally not worth that high of a donation, or don't purposely make the quality of your work bad because you think you deserved a higher bid than what won.
If you are taking longer than expected to complete the assignment, again PLEASE KEEP IN CONTACT! I don't think anyone should mind if you take a little too long, but your buyer should never be left in the dark about how long it may take!
For buyers:
Please be clear with what you are expecting from your artist/writer, but don't set your expectations too high. If you're vague, please make sure they are happy with that. If you're too specific about what you want and your artist seems to be having trouble accomplishing it, please try to find some middle ground. It's hard to force creativity, so please empathize with them!
If you are not happy with the quality of the finished product, please act mature about it and have a proper talk with your artist so you can, again, find some sort of middle ground. A lot of time and effort will be put into these stories and art pieces, try your hardest not to be rude.
MOST IMPORTANTLY~! IF YOU LOSE CONTACT WITH YOUR ARTIST/BUYER, PLEASE CONTACT ME ON TWITTER SO I CAN RESOLVE THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! I do have a few pinch hitters on standby should this situation arise but I don't want to have to resort to that!
As usual, my twitter is @
refrijita ~ contact me there if you want fast response to any concerns you may have!
