Hallelujiah: A Guide to Suho Part 4
WELCOME TO ~HEAVEN~ AKA THE SUHO PIMP POST
Even though he is EXO-K’s leader and hyung, Suho is one big (okay he's small) dork! A total sweetheart despite his fail hearts that look more like apples or burgers. He gets embarrassed about the things he does easily. He can be seen jamming along to songs; oh, they got nothin’ on you baby.
A lot of EXO fans weren’t really paying attention to Suho before (like some of the collaborators), but then the Idol Olympics happened and then--*BOOM* explosion of Suho feels every-freakin-where. Gramps was just all sorts of WIN during Idol Olympics. What interesting things could’ve happened in an athletics competition you say? LOTS. Despite the event being an opportunity to show his cool, athletic side, fans instead saw the dorkier side to this otherwise mild mannered leader.
Who can forget Jun Ma Hao attempting (and failing) to translate the MC’s questions to highjumper!Tao, being the coach and praying for said M-maknae, playing around with Baekhyun, Chanyeol, and Sehun, cheering for Luhan in his own special way, and more Tao pampering. We swear, nothing can be more adorable than Gramps giving in to Tao’s diva-ness, then singing him to sleep. Interacting with other idol groups was also a must for Suho (who knew Gramps was so popular even beyond SM Town).
What’s an athletics competition without actual sports? So here’s some running and speed walking Suho for your time. Gramps actually did pretty well for himself during his heat, despite fans’ fears and worries (‘coz Gramps be Gramps). He was just too precious throughout the whole event. Just look at him being adorably embarrassed with the fans’ cheers. And then randomly bursting into claps. But here’s Gramps just casually pushing his hair back, because he’s sexy and he knows it. Luhan also couldn’t resist showing Suho’s abs. And, ever the photogenic man, even his exhausted face was noteworthy.
Suho’s just the perfect mix of dork and adorable, as seen from behind the scenes of an Ivy Club photoshoot. Don’t you just want to poke his tummy when he formed the letter ‘I’?
Admittedly, he has a nice face but the things he does with it sometimes would make you wonder if it’s the same person. He has a habit (or is it involuntary) of twitching and scrunching up his face. It is unclear if he got it from Chanyeol or the other way around.
With EXO’s tagline “We are one!”, as leader, you’d expect he already has it mastered but he still messes up with it on some occasions and forgets the name of the show they’re in.
Due to his long trainee period, Suho has amassed a veritable amount of friends within SM Town. If the mentions of his name in different SM artists’ “thanks to” wasn’t any indication of the friendships he has developed in the company, have some more Suho-lovin’ moments.
Out of all his SM Town friendships, his relationship with Super Junior’s Kyuhyun is most well-known. He’s called our Gramps as a charming future artist before, and Suho has been the recipient of Kyuhyun’s love. Aside from that, Key has called him a handsome fellow, Taemin referred to him as hyung, and Jonghyun also didn’t forget to mention him.
Suho also has his leader moments with Yunho, and he even goes out for dinner with Donghae. The girls love him, too. Even SNSD’s ice princess can’t resist EXO’s guardian along with Sunny who wants to marry him. At a fansign, some SNSD members were asked who among EXO-K members they were closest with, and most picked Suho outright. From TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, and f(x), everyone just loves Suho.
Part One
Suho definitely gives around a lot of love, and there are instances where his members actually reciprocate the love he showers them because deep in their hearts they really love him.
His power doesn’t only provide the water in which different EXO ships sail, but Suho also has his own fleet of ships.
The Kim Hyungs (SuhoxXiumin) - Each are the oldest member of their subgroups. We hardly see these two get a chance to interact because of the K-M split, but look at these two though, all the adorable. If you ship them and worry that they’re not friends, fret not - at Suho’s birthday party, Xiumin put an arm around him, asked him if they were friends and guaranteed that he’ll watch over Suho like how Suho’s the guardian. Then they hugged. CUTE HYUNG/GE SHIP ALERT. At Xiumin’s birthday party, Suho trolled his hyung, asking for a car.
Crush Love at first sight? (SuhoxLuhan) - It began when they met. Junmyeon saw Luhan, saw stars, fireworks, and fell in love (and told him so during the Showcase). While we don’t know if Luhan returns the feelings or not (though Luhan said I love you~), this ship is alive. Even though Suho seems like the biggest hunhan shipper and they don’t get to interact as often because of the seas between their target countries, they have their fair share of cute moments to keep the ship sailing whenever they’re together.
LeaderShip (SuhoxKris) - The two may have bonded over the shared responsibility of managing the rowdy bunch of kids they put up with on a daily basis. Leadership position and respective duties usually bring them together but they have their own cute moments besides those (the height difference helps). Look at them bonding over a quiet breakfast (probably venting) like an old couple.
When asked by a fan to pick who among the ‘90-line he was closest to, Suho immediately picked Kris (before chickening out and choosing everybody). However, when the same fan told Kris about it at another fansign, he seemed skeptical about it, though (*questioning expression*....”Friend...?”...*ok nods*). Jokes aside, Kris and Suho seem to have a really close bond, even though they’re not as showy with it. Kris helps bring out the fun bro in Suho, but also the sap. And judging from those flying kisses, Kris’ grease sometimes rubs off on our Gramps, too, which Gramps seems to have turned into a brand of his own. Besides, it’s no coincidence that both of them have such holy nicknames.
The Angel and the Unicorn (SuhoxLay) - While moments between these two seem few and far in between (and ninja), this ship is a popular one (we see you sailin’ it with that glance, Suho). They both give off such kind and gentle auras. And how can the ship not be liked when the few, brief moments are as cute (or unf) as this? Plus it brings out a little more fun in Suho, even teasing Lay during Xiumin’s birthday. Suho actually has the ability to get a rise out of Yixing in public, especially when Yixing is almost always in .jpg mode. For instance, Lay fussed after Suho accidentally dirtied his pants. Suho pestering Lay greatly affected Unicorn too.
Careful and Careless (SuhoxBaekhyun) - Baekhyun isn’t shy of expressing his fanboy adoration over Kris but it doesn’t mean he wants to send off their leader to the M subgroup (or so he says). Suho is always ready to help Baekhyun answer during interviews. Baekhyun also likes to tease Suho whenever he has the chance, mostly during fan events. Sometimes, Baekhyun denies the caring gestures, but he really does like them judging by the way he attaches himself to the Guardian. Baekhyun even does the old school trick of distraction then putting the arm around the other’s shoulder. Very smooth. But when that doesn’t work, you can always be direct. They are often seen together on photoshoots, official events, or just about everywhere, much to Baekhyun’s satisfaction.
