WOW I SHOULD MOVE BACK TO DAVAOthewinterseoulMay 14 2017, 11:25:35 UTC
Okay, I came really excited to answer your questions but I guess everyone already answered your questions. So I'll just answer or delve into some facts as someone who was there IN DAVAO for college.
8. Do you get roommates in college? Does college provide dorms? Should I get a roommate?
College dorms aren't a thing in Davao anymore so students find dorms that are near their schools. It can be as near as just across the street so you can just think of it as a dorm but not inside our campus. Haha. When I was there, my sister and I rented a unit.
10. What's your schedules like? Actually, for the schools here in Davao, I don't think they choose for you. You actually plan out your schedule. Well, that's what I experienced in Ateneo. You plan out your schedule online and then it's just a matter of who gets their desired class sched when the system (we called it SIS) opens for enrollment. Then you just go and pay your tuition at the bank or in the campus cashier. I wasn't a morning person so I always choose scheds that start from 8am or much later. I only get 7 am schedules when I don't register faster and all the slots get taken u_u" /whispers and u can also actually choose which professor you'd like to take your class in so u can avoid the terror professors. thats what i always did mehehe/
11. In Davao, is there a curfew? :/ 10pm for minors. 1AM for adults. But if you're outside studying, like how I was (I stay until 3am studying in coffee shops), then there's really no curfew.
12. What's the best cellphone network? In Davao, Globe is the best network. But they say that Smart is the best in Manila, esp internet speed-wise? I'm not sure I didn't really stay long in Manila. (yall Manila people correct me if I'm wrong lol)
13. Are cellphones cheaper in the PH vs the US? Eh, no actually. It's cheaper to buy it in the US because they, of course, add shipping fee, tax and other fees on top of the original price of the phones. I recommend buy a phone there na.
14. Do college students typically HAVE cars? Well, not really since the places in Davao are dili super layo, but I'd say people don't really care if you do or don't own a car. Especially if you're in schools like the Ateneo or SPC?
Most importantly, 15. If I'm in Davao, will you pls be my friend omg ;o;
Hey Gelie and Jeng are in Davao and you have many fans there, I bet you they'll welcome you when you get there. Don't you worry my cute little booby. <333 /whispers i might just go back there haha/
