Sypnosis: Chanyeol has very expensive tastes versus Baekhyun's.

Baekhyun didn't like the way Chanyeol was babying him, but he really didn't want to fight anymore. They had already fought enough, so he just let the other order in a gourmet breakfast and hold him gently while they walked to the elevator and down the street to where their car and driver were waiting.

The doctors appointment went great. In Baekhyun's opinion, it was quick and easy. Chanyeol, on the other hand, found it too hard to believe that the appointment was too easy. He thought there should have been more to it.

"Maybe we should've gone to another doctor..."

"Chanyeol, he's the same guy you've gone to for the last four years. Suddenly you don't trust him?"

Chanyeol glanced at him, lips tight as he shook his head. "I just... This type of thing looked like it took forever in all the movies I watched."

"Movies and reality are a little...eh."

"Still... You didn't leave anything out? No pains, no bleeding?"

"Like I told him, no, Chanyeol. None." Baekhyun looked through his phone, reading Luhan's updates about Pabo's Cafe. "Do you think we can stop by the shop for a bit? Luhan says it's busy right now."

"Uh, no. Absolutely not. You promised me today, Baekhyun. We're going shopping for things, also vitamins. You need vitamins and supplements."

"It's too early to buy baby clothes and cribs, Yeol," Baekhyun said, trying to insist otherwise. "We don't even have a nursery yet. In fact, we don't have room for a nursery. The condo's one bedroom."

As if it just hit him, Chanyeol gaped. "Oh my god... You're right. We don't have a nursery."

Seeing how the latter was beginning to worry about small matters again, Baekhyun sighed, putting his hand on Chanyeol's thigh. "It's fine! It'll work out. My parents raised me in a one bedroom apartment for the first years of my life, and it wasn't bad."

"No offense, baby, but we have the money to move. We don't have to relive your childhood. Don't worry. I'll just call up a friend. He's in the real estate business."

Baekhyun was taken aback by the remark, almost as if Chanyeol thought that living in a one bedroom condo was the most terrible thing in the world. But
he said nothing despite being reminded of his inferior social wealth status compared to Chanyeol, which almost always brought to mind the giant's mother.

"Chanyeol, are we going to visit your parents soon?"

"No, not soon, but... In the near future, okay?" Chanyeol smiled at him. The same smile that always made the brunet's heart beat a tiny bit faster. "Also, you know, we gotta have a baby shower for you. Tradition."

"Chanyeol, it's too early!"

"I know but in the future! Think ahead, Baek!"

Rolling his eyes, Baekhyun looked out the car window and saw that they were pulling up at the strip mall. Of course, it was the mall where half the stores were imports from Paris and Germany. Designer brands.

Despite living together, they were still the opposite from one another in terms of style and taste. Chanyeol liked all of his suits to be tailored--that or just imported Armani by the bulk. He liked his Role watches and even his shoes cost more than anything Baekhyun owned, really. In comparison, Baekhyun still wore five dollar shirts, on sale items and things he found comfortable. He bought his own clothes, though. That was the important thing. He didn't use Chanyeol's money. He rarely used their bank card for anything but food for the two of them, because most of the time, he used his own card.

Looking back at Chanyeol, Baekhyun gave him a face. "Please, can we not spoil this child with expensive things?"

"The more expensive something is, the better."

"Is that your ultimate motto?"

"Aside from 'I love you'? Yeah. It is," Chanyeol said as he shrugged.

Raising a brow, Baekhyun cocked his head. "So, since I'm far from being the most expensive person you've ever been with, then I'm probably not the best."

"I didn't mean it like that," Chanyeol said, moving his hands to show his slight frustration. "Don't take my words and twist them. I just like things to be worth what I'm paying for, but don't get me wrong. I love it when you wear your sweatpants. Frankly, they're easier to take off than your skinny jeans."

"It always comes down to convenience."

"Not bad convenience."

"I know."

The baby section of each store had so many things for...babies. Chanyeol looked excited, looking through all the clothes and asking whether they should get gender neutral colors or get any color at all because it wouldn't have mattered anyways. Baekhyun let the man play while he walked around, looking at all the small decorations, the decorative baby bottles and the bibs...

They were having a baby and most of the things in that store were so expensive. Baekhyun could only imagine what life would be like if they broke up. The baby would obviously prefer Chanyeol over him, someone with money and the ability to buy whatever.

Snapping away from his thoughts, Baekhyun heard Chanyeol call him over. When he reached the giant, the man had already picked out an array of onesies, from animal print to onesies that were made to resemble zoo animals.

"You can't really go wrong with animals despite the gender, right?"

"Giraffes? Really?" Baekhyun laughed, taking the onesie from his boyfriend. "It's cute but, it's really expensive."

"I can just swipe my card and everything will be fine."

"Yeah... I guess." Baekhyun stared at the print for a while before looking up. "What gender do you want the baby to be?"

Chanyeol stopped, cocking his head for a moment. "Well... I don't really care. Boy or girl, it doesn't matter."

"Why not?"

"Because we made it together, so the end result doesn't really interest me," Chanyeol answered. "Besides, we're probably going to have more by mistake or not, so it doesn't matter in the long run. We'll probably have boys and girls by the time we're old."

Baekhyun thought the answer was sentimental, but he never liked to admit anything. Instead he scoffed, giving the giant the onesie back. "Alright. Pay for those."

"You want to buy them now?" Chanyeol sounded surprised.

"Yeah? You took the time to gather all of that, didn't you?"

"You said it was too early to buy."

"And you said to think ahead," Baekhyun said, rolling his eyes when Chanyeol gave him a huge grin.

Despite how much the prices annoyed Baekhyun, he ended up helping his excited boyfriend, the father-to-be, carry bags out of the store.
