(no subject)
Today I got to drive up to Assumption to visit a friend who just finished her student teaching and is graduating in a week and a half. I haven't been there since the fall. To a certain extent going up there still feels more like going home than coming back to Franklin does, but I think it's heading towards just being completely nostalgic about college. We say around for a few hours and talked about teaching, substituting and classes we took at Assumption. Man, I wish someone would pay me to go get my Masters full-time. I'd do that in a second. Tried to stop by and see the professors who will hopefully be writing me recs for grad school but neither of them were there (This is what I get for stopping by unannounced during finals).
Also, totally popping into a new fandom. I've been watching Game of Thrones since it started and am a bit in love with it thus far. How did I not know about this series existing? It's entirely possible that I'm already a book and a half in reading wise. Anyone have an community or fic recs for me though, because I would not mind being pointed towards something new. Please tell me someone else is watching? Or has read the books?
And I have a birthday in two and a half weeks... when did that happen?
