I sent my condolences to my next door neighbor last night. Her younger sister was graduating so she had to sit through the really long ceremony. Apparently 350 kids graduating is kind of a lot. Also, the principal (who was my band instructor when I was in high school) gives several really long speeches. I was at dinner with my parents last ngiht talking happily about how I wouldn't have to do that again when I realized that I will... every year.
Damnit. Stupid profession.
My friends mom also informed me that since school doesn't end until mid/late June and schools around here don't get their budgets worked out until July I'm probably not going to be getting many phone calls about anticipated openings until July. On one hand this has me pretty relieved because I've been stressing out about not hearing back, but on the other it is going to be so much harder to get time off work and drive to some of these places.
Now if I could just get my dad to understand that they are not going to call me for another month, and thus get him off my back, my life would be so much easier.
