I'm a little pissed off right now
I didn't wanna mention anything too early because I was worried that what happened would happen... or that t wouldn't happen at al.....
About 6 weeks ago I got a email from the photo editor of GQ magizine.... They were doing a story on a local Portland Club called Dante's.... Dante's is a very unusal club... It's a small club that does have headlining acts, overpriced drinks, and jerkoff doormen, but they also host Suicidegirls shows, and other forms of debauchery... a fun little place actually... I shoot alot of shows for bands, and I have shot shows at Dante's many times. I shot "Storm and the Balls" when they opened up for LA Guns a while back, and those photo's are on Dante's website www.danteslive.com.
The photo editor in question wanted to use one of my photo's of Storm (Who is very hot) in June's issue of GQ. I said go ahead, I even re-edit it and sent them the hi-rez version of the photo they wanted. She told me that it was going to be about 1/4 page photo. All I asked was that they give me credit for the photo.... something like "Photo by Tim Ward" or "Photo by TimWard Photography".... nothing big, and not at all too much to ask for. This is a HUGE feather in my hat.... even though it's a small photo, it's still published in a national magizine.... That's serious bragging rights... I even emailed Storm and told her about... now she's all excited........
Does it happen? Kinda......
I've been waiting patiently for the new issue to come out... the guy at the grocery store told me that the new issue would be out today.... so at lunch... I hurried to FredMeyers... found the new issue... one at a time... I started flipping through the pages looking for my photo... and finally on page 66 .........
A thumbnail..... smaller than a stamp.... with a number 5 under it.... I look for what's caption for number 5..... "Indie Chick Rocks Dantes"
WTF?????????????
All these weeks of waiting in anticipation... etc........ for what????
A freaking thumbnail with no creditline under it....
