Name: Felicity
Age: 24
Hometown/Region: Jubilife City, Sinnoh
Class: None really; just a trainer.
Team:
On hand:
Turtwig "Dahlia", ♀
Her first Pokémon; obtained from Professor Rowan when Felicity was ten years old.
Friendly and curious like its owner, but rather calm. There's a pink ribbon tied on the top of its head.
Pidgey, ♂
Cute little birdie that Felicity met in Johto. Felicity doesn't train it seriously,
but keeps it with her because its quite adorable.
Houndour, ♀
Obtained during the visit to Johto; a friend's Houndoom had a bunch of babies,
and the friend gave Felicity one. Brave and well-meaning, though likes to fight.
Floatzel, ♂
Captured at the beginning of Felicity's journey as a trainer.
Jolly and easy-going. Persistent in battle.
Luxio, ♂
Joined the team shortly after Floatzel. Proud of its power and usually acting quite mild.
Sometimes quarrels with Houndour; two bigger egos...
History:
Felicity was born into an average family living in Jubilife City 24 years ago. Both her parents worked with Pokémon: her father at the PokéMart and her mother at Jubilife TV. At the time Jubilife was a growing city becoming more and more modern and gaining the attention of many people. When Felicity stepped out of the door, there were Pokémon all around her, and people talking about Pokémon, and so Felicity became familiar with the creatures at an early age. Her parents didn't have Pokémon of their own and never put any pressure on her, but young Felicity still eagerly followed the escalating happenings outside her home and eventually upon entering school came to the decision that as soon as she was ten years old, she wanted her own Pokémon.
She got her first Pokémon, Dahlia the Turtwig, from Professor Rowan the same day many other kids her age got theirs. Being so happy that she finally had a Pokémon meant just for her, Felicity took very good care of Turtwig, and they became fond of each other quickly. Sometimes they would wander out of the city and explore the nearby routes. Felicity had never really traveled far from Jubilife - the city had nearly everything ever needed - and she enjoyed their little trips greatly, but still she never felt an urge to leave and go explore the world further; It was enough to sneak to Route 218 under the darkness of night and sit on the beach, holding Turtwig in her lap and trying to catch a glimpse of water Pokémon swimming below the shimmering sea's surface.
Years later Felicity graduated from school. It was time to decide what she wanted from the future. Luckily, to her the decision wasn't hard. Along the years she had visited Jubilife TV, her mother's workplace, several times: sometimes her mother had taken her to work when she was bored, and they had even visited the station from school as well. Felicity had always liked the atmosphere around the station; it was big and there was so much people milling around, and Pokémon following them closely, helping them, and there were helpful smiles and friendly faces behind every desk... Felicity knew she wanted to include Pokémon into her future, but even though the outside world indeed felt inviting and many of her friends had already left or were now leaving for their own adventures through the whole region, she wasn't quite sure she felt comfortable with going out there just yet. So she came to a conclusion and soon applied for a job at Jubilife TV.
"Would you like to check today's lucky number?" became the line people started recognizing her from as she started working at the daily lottery corner. It was her first job, and despite having been a bold kid, she had grown to be rather unsure at first before getting used to new situations - that was partly the reason why she hadn't felt completely safe with the idea of leaving home yet, she knew - so serving people was hard in the beginning. But with time it became easier, she didn't have to force a smile anymore, and when people walked to the desk, wanting to try out the lottery, she chatted with them cheerfully, told them that day's lucky number and was glad if someone won. She handed out the prizes and said bye-bye, and when she had free time, she wandered around the station and sometimes got to watch when they were shooting the shows. She even met people like Serge and Tanya from Rack 'Em Up Records, an all-new trainer record show that was quickly gathering popularity through the whole Sinnoh.
She kept working at Jubilife TV. Then, a few years into the job she got an opportunity: in another region called Johto, where she had never been to but of which she had heard many times, there was a new Radio Tower, and in the Tower they were not only hosting several hip radio shows but also a lottery, just like in Jubilife TV. As both stations had kept closely in contact for quite some time, the people over at Radio Tower had heard about Felicity and asked if she wanted to come host the lottery for some time, because they were positive that she would draw attention to the Tower with her cheerful attitude, and hey, at the same time she could see the world as well. After some time of pondering Felicity went.
In Johto everything wasn't different, but many things were. During the stint Felicity met many new Pokémon and people, saw a whole new world around her, and it all amazed her. She wouldn't have traveled so far if it wasn't for her job, but now that she was there, she finally came to realize that she had the courage. Without noticing it she had grown up during the years when she had mostly just focused on her job, and suddenly there was so much to see in the world and she wasn't even so scared anymore. At first this realization meant that when a friend asked her to accompany them on a trip to a nearby town where there was something special to see she thought about the offer seriously, but gradually she started going by herself. As she got used to traveling to places not already familiar to her, the exciting, good feeling grew stronger and stronger. And when it was time for her to head back to Sinnoh, she had already visited several Johto locations and even obtained a couple of Pokémon on the way, and there was a brand new ambition she had in mind.
Back in Sinnoh she kept working as the lottery girl for a few more months, arranging things with her employers, family and friends and professor Rowan back in Sandgem Town before she resigned and left. It was true that she had enjoyed the job a lot and didn't regret at all, but after five years of following the world's happenings from aside without really taking part in them she knew it wasn't what she really wanted to do; what she wanted to do was travel, experience the rest of the beautiful world of which she had only seen some glimpses so far and focus on training her Pokémon... And who knew what more?
Today Felicity has been on the road for two years. She is fully enjoying her new life as a trainer, and the future is wide open.
Personality:
Felicity is a nice girl. She is friendly and gets along with people just fine. She can be rather shy at first, but once she gets over it, she's bold and open and likes talking. She enjoys conversations and can talk about an interesting subject for a long, long time, if there is someone sharing the conversation with her.
Generally Felicity likes the world much; She understands that everybody sees a little differently and that it's not just the culture or home the person comes from, but the person themselves - their personality, the things they have experienced. She considers this to be a good thing, and thus she finds it intriguing that she is meeting all kinds of people and is eager to try out the local customs wherever she goes, whether it means taking a dance class in Ecruteak's Kimono Dance Theater or hopping in the jeep with binoculars in one hand in Safari Zone.
Even though Felicity is a good girl, nobody is perfect, and so she too has her own flaws. She has been curious since childhood, and sometimes she can be a bit too nosy. It's just that she enjoys hearing about other people's lives very much. Another thing is her occasional unsureness, which sometimes leads her into somewhat awkward situations and can make her act just plain silly, but she copes.
She can be sort of critical at times - like about everyone else, for that matter - but in the end she doesn't want to think badly of anyone. She trusts people easily and expects honesty from others, since she herself is quite honest too.
Sample I:
• You are dead last on the Trainer Rankings list.
*beeep*
Ah... ahaha... what is this? I just saw the new Trainer Rankings list and... it seems.. heh... I'm the last on it. ... Well... It's not like I'm that bothered, I mean, I'm a trainer now and all - gosh, it has been a long time by the way - but it's better that I'm the last than if it was someone who is aiming to become the champion or something... No offense toward the current champion, of course.
Anyway. It was not a pleasant surprise, but I guess there is nothing else you can do about it but get better! Right? And I'm gonna get better, definitely... Haha... I'm still embarrassed though...

Sample II:
• YOUNGSTER JOEY wants to battle!
"Hey, Turtwig, look!" She pointed with her finger. "That's a Rattata! How cool!" Pulling out her PokéDex, she flipped it open and directed it towards the small rodent watching her carefully.
"A Forest Pokémon, Rattata. It likes cheese, nuts, fruits, and berries. It also comes out into open fields to steal food from stupid travelers", the PokéDex told her. Laughing, she looked from the device to the rodent again. "Heh, you're not gonna steal from me, are you?" She asked.
"No, because it is mine and well trained."
Felicity jumped at the sudden voice and then saw how a little boy, who couldn't be older than seven, stepped out from behind a tree. His arms were crossed across his chest in a confident manner. "After all, my Rattata is in the top percentage of Rattata."
"... Oh." It took her some moments to understand what the situation was, but then Felicity's face lit up with understanding, and she smiled. "Oh, right! You're its trainer!" The boy nodded with a smug grin on his face. "How nice to meet you! That Rattata is very cool, I have never seen one before."
At that comment the boy's eyes almost bulged out of his head. "WHAT?!" He shouted incredulously. "Where do you come from, Sinnoh?!"
"Uh... Actually yes..." Felicity chuckled awkwardly, as the boy kept staring at him. What was the he gonna do...?
"Awesome!"
She blinked; the youngster's face had stretched into an overly excited grin. "Let's battle!!"
"... Battle...? ... Okay!"
