Flight of the Yar.

so yeah, last night at work, i got a call from one of our based customers who operate Lear 35s for medical runs. They were like, hey, we're going for a test flight, you wana go? how could i resist. I hopped in the pilot gave me a quick emergency lesson, and we were off.
When we got out to the runway, the gave it full throttle, but held it in place with the brakes. When they finally took off, it was like a bottle rocket. With more thrust than ive ever felt. it was rather amazing. then they climbed at a rather steep angle and leveled off of 15,000 feet, all the while doing steep bank turns and goosing the throttle. i was impressed, to say the least. after they tested what they were going to test, they let me come up to the flight deck. the pilot was like, yeah we are out on a test flight, so we're having fun. when we carry passengers, we cant do all the fun stuff. we were doing about 350mph at the time, and were over the Olympic mountains. After a bit of level flight we returned to Seattle.
needless to say, last night was easily one of the best nights at work ive had.
