This is stupid[Misa’s voice is muffled by the several layers of blankets she has wrapped herself in. Though she tries to sound appropriately furious, the words come off as more than a little pathetic

[L has seen the post. He only cares enough about it to take note of the fact that Misa is in her room, and probably wouldn't be able to run away too quickly if the conversation makes her uncomfortable. This ends up happening approximately always, so the fact that she's incapacitated is something of a plus.
Not that L's at 100%, himself. He's his usual thin, scraggly and hollow-eyed self, wandering down the hall toward Misa's dormitory, only more so. He's not been taking great care of himself to start with, only eating when it was sugary and preparation time and effort are minimal, only sleeping when he can no longer remain standing (or perching), and it's showing, especially since Light's second departure. This one was even more devastating, somehow, and it is hitting L just as hard as it did Misa for different reasons.
He tries the door, but it's locked. Sighing, he raps harshly, waiting for an answer.]
[Well, this feels familiar. Waiting outside Misa's door after they both mourn the disappearance of someone mutually important to them. He fully expects her to answer, though, even after he tells her who he is. He fully expects her to miss contact with someone who had also been close to Light... which was, in a nutshell, rather the reason he had shown up.]

[L. of course. Who else would bother? Misa entertains the idea of not getting up- or better yet, not responding at all. But she knows that she won't leave him standing there until he gives up and walks away, no matter how appealing the idea is. Misa is entirely resentful as she swings her legs over the side of the bed and stands up, but she does it none the less. Even though most every time they talk ends with her screaming and hanging up on him. Even though she doesn't really want him, or anyone else to be with her.]
[She can always sneeze on him if he starts bothering her. It might at least be therapeutic to see someone more pathetic than her around.]
Almost.
[Somehow, she thought that he would have known her birthday. It is a bit of a relief that he doesn't. She opens the door a crack, verifying that it is indeed L, before opening it a little further. Misa is almost completely obscured by blankets, only visible from the eyes up.]
