Fatigue & chicken

Jun 11, 2009 11:30

So this time, the pain was wonderfully managed, but fatigue has taken me prisoner. Super duper tired, with a little numbness in my hands, so it's probably time for a transfusion. I do love the blood. I go in for my quick stick either today or tomorrow and I'll talk to them about it then.

Went for lunch with Becca yesterday and we hung out, saw her new place (which is fab), and it was nice to just hang out with her. She's been busy moving and I've been doing this cancer thing so we haven't connected in awhile. Had good talks about lots of stuff. She's an awesome person.

Also on the awesome tip, the FUCKING AMAZING people I work with raised money for me to help me out in the next few months with rent/bills as my pay is being reduced to 60%, and I will not be making enough to pay even my rent, let alone anything else. So, while it's not enough to get me all the way thru, it's a huge chunk of change, and it definitely going to take a lot of the pressure off for now. We'll worry about the future when we get there.
Let's have another FUCK YEAH for Half Price Books! Go there, buy good things, and bring your own bag.

Oh - the chicken. Becca & I went to Seven Star Pepper in the Ding How Center. Can not say enough how ridiculously good the food is here, and the service is fantastic. We got the dumplings for appetizers, but the Den Den noodles are freakishly good as well. She got szechuan chicken & I got crispy chicken in a hot (really) garlic sauce. Happy happy food coma followed. If you want REAL super tasty Chinese food, this is the place. They have lots of stuff for vegetarians, they have hot pots, the prices are lovely.
Please go to this place, eat good food & tip well.

And that's about it. I need to clean my house, but I think I pulled a not-quite-healed-muscle in my stomach, and so I'm limited in my movement again/still. Doing too much stuff, I have now further inhibited my stuff-doing capacity. Harumph.

Oh - the American Cancer Society sent me a $50 gas card! How cool is that? Thumbs up to those guys!

Time for oatmeal & coffee. Yum.
