*Take your 40 lines and tie them into the rest of the play, show connections to the text, find theme, how it relates to the rest of the play, fan out from it
Even if you don’t believe it, make it original
Expected to know act and scene [context]
Know setting, what event happened just before and after those lines
Come up with an argument and focus on everything specifically that would support that argument from those forty lines and beyond
Imbed quotes that aren’t even in 40 lines shows a deep/profound knowledge of play
