So I've been using an image linked by
glassthorne on my desk top to help me keep track of my NaNo goals (as in, "Hey, I made it to the mark! I'm on track! I can go to bed!") because it has handy "YOU SHOULD BE HERE!" word counts on it. It's
this one.
So I'm plunking along, writing words that are hard to write, and I minimize my browser for a moment (writing this in Google Docs so I can use multiple computers) to go do something else and I saw the quote for today.
"as per tradition, set something (in your novel) on fire today."
And I went: "Wait, I did that yesterday, but she only set herself on fire for reasons of Health."
And then I went: "The day before Phil got to use his Holy Flamethrower on Pig, so I've already set two things on fire."
And then I looked down, and I saw myself flying over a shark.
"Oh," I said.
