There is always one addiction that just can not be controlled.

Break brings snow and then a sunny early autumn. Contrasts galore. The master cylinder leaked out all of my brake fluid and even my emergency brake is worn out, making my care unstoppable. And therefore docked at the end of my driveway. Regardless of how little I like driving back and forth and around town, being immobile is slightly more aggravating.

Third Eye Blind actually played "Red Summer Sun," which sadly enough equates a minor religious experinece for me. Clark was lovely, as usual. Work was trying but productive, as usual. Hung out in Cody's basement, as usual.

Covered new and important issues/"challenges." Saved more money than I spent. Made plans for the winter. And unexpectedly gained distance from a close friend.

It's the same old song, but I'm convinced it will take a modern miracle to get through the next three weeks.
