Because Twitter is Burning Down
K, here I am over here checking to see where we all might run to in order to regroup. 😃 It's not encouraging that the first thing that I saw when logging into LJ was an ad for cheap Russian insurance - seriously. So we're thinking Counter - not so much Tribel or Mastodon. Y'know what I'd like to have happen? Huge waves of Twitter Resistance users washing over Facebook and driving the Magats out. Facebook has the infrastructure - the proverbial "land" that we need. Then there's Instagram...yay.
I'm not feeling very confident about him cleaning out "80% bloatware" from the infrastructure. Some of that crap may not retain its originality functionality but still may play the role of "relays" or load bearing programs: you *CANNOT* just randomly remove crap that doesn't work anymore. So, I'm thinkin' that folks try to log in someday - someday soon and Twitter will not respond.
