"Great Divide"
Sam told me I should write something for D. I agree. I just don't think I could say anything that hasn't already been said.
So I had a whole GLSEN retreat to think about it.
And this is what i randomly wrote down:
"Great Divide"
Good and Evil
Black and White
Everything has a divide
Up and Down
Slow and Fast
I can't forget the past
God and Satan
Me and You
What the FUCK was I suppost to do?
You once caled this "Destiny"
And that gave me pride
But I keep coming back to the diveide
The divide between what we were and what we are now
Between the situations
Between the access
Betwee"n my hate and my love for you
And the conclusion is...
I was so occupied by the divide...
I didn't see the bride
I wasso busy pointing out the differences
I forgot about the similarities
Because there was no divide...
Between my hate and my love
Only a bridge to bind them
Within all my Good, my Bad
My Ups, my Downs
My Fast, and my Slow
You are the divide
And I am the bridge
