Professor Greenes,
I checked both my personal notes and the class syllabus and discovered that I was neither absent 11/8 nor 11/15. November 8th we did not have class as you were at conference in California. November 15th, I arrived 3 hours before class to take the in-class portion of the exam and then carried the MEGA Cards boxes downstairs to class for you when I had completed it. If you would like to discuss further, please feel free to contact me. If you still do not believe me, I hope that we can set up an appointment with Dean Dewey to settle this.

Thank you, Gregory Carrow-Boyd

Dear Gregory
You're right about 11/8. I'll trust you about 11/15. However, you've missed a great deal of the work.
Have you contacted anyone in the class to get notes? To review the material? You might want to compare your notebook with others in the class to determine what content you missed. Students are forming study groups. Those would help you. I'll see you on Monday. If you'd like to have a joint meeting with Dean Dewey, I'd be pleased to do that with you.

Followed by a convo with Dylan:

Greg: Oh, the lovely teaching bitch said that she'll believe me for the 15th, but I've still missed a great deal of the work. I love White privilege: no matter how right I am, the point still seems to stand: I'm wrong.

Dylan: yeah

Dylan: true that

Greg: I really didn't miss that much work. She's just mad that I didn't hand in the extra credit work, which was the bulk of the work that I missed.

Greg: The teaching bitch makes me feel bad about myself. I hate this. Even with calling her a bitch there's nothing that I can do to reverse the shame and humilitiation I feel at having been wrongly accused for something that is partially true. This is how they get Black men into prisons for crimes they didn't commit, it was half true so they don't try to say the other half isn't.

And I feel like she's telling me, everytime she's like get someone else's notes, "Oh, poor little colored boy, don't you understand that you're not good enough. There's nothing you can do to learn this stuff with out White and Asian women. Don't you see, they're smarter than you? Talk to Sue, 'she's a really good teacher,' and you'll never be without her help. Any question little Black Sambo? Good, none, I didn't really want to answer the ones you had any way. What's that? I'm sorry, I was listening because you're good enough to know that which you really meaning, buh bye now. Oh and give Aunt Carole some sugar."

Ugh, fuck racism!
