so..i'm updating. it's pretty much just to do this survey. i usually hate surveys. but i hope you read mine. my life is really turbulent right now. talking about it makes it worse. so i'm going to sing lyle lovett and listen to radio paradise and bake cookies and read poetry and dream and wear rainboots. im kind of freaked out about where i am going to end up. i just want to be happy. that's all i want. i stole this survey from rhianna. and stuff. seasons greetings/good tithings/bah humbug.
1) Was 2005 a good year for you? yes, i really think i have become a stronger, happier person.
2) What was your favorite moment of the year? two saturdays ago. or the night before prom building it/waffle house after. or homecoming in general. or lunch dates. actually, all casa fiesta lunch dates. driving backroads in my car. believe it.
3) What was your least favorite moment of the year? pretty much spring break 2005...the whole lucas/me fiasco that happened then, not going anywhere exciting, losing state finals for mock trial. it was not a good week.
4) Where were you when 2005 began? sitting on a grassy median [it had a tree on it, too] in the middle of the lowe's parking lot. it was kind of a pic-nic. we had sparkling cider and poppers. and listened to the countdown on the radio.

6) Where will you be when 2005 ends? haha, probably watching a law and order marathon or sleeping. i am such a lame old lady.
7) Who will you be with when 2005 ends? probably by myself. maybe kaitlin?
8) Did you keep your new years resolution of 2005? wow, i actually posted them in an LJ entry, so let's see if i kept them:
[Work a lot less, Play a lot more] = actually, i worked four times as hard in 2005 than in 2004 and played about a million times less. definitely didn't keep this one.
[Set up a county-wide literary Publication] = uh, haha, nope.
[Learn how to say 'no' and not feel bad about it] = i did do this. i am way, way stronger now and more direct.
[Meditate frequently and drink green tea] = no. i never meditate. i run. and i still drink way too much diet coke. and i'm not giving it up.
9) Do you have a new years resolution for 2006? in 2006 i will...
...go to a college/university i love and be horribly happy.
...loosen up a little bit. just a little.
...learn to ballroom dance/memorize carl sandburg poems/learn all the constellations.
...get a cool summer internship.
10) Did you fall in love in 2005? ha, yes. i fell in love and out of love. go figure.

12) If yes, do they know? yes...they know a lot.

14) You regret it? nope, they kind of like me too just a little. some days. haha.
15) Did you breakup with anyone in 2005? yes.
16) Did you make any new friends in 2005? yes. lovely new friends.
17) Who are your favorite new friends? my friend kate from IYWS.
18) What was your favorite month of 2005? actually, probably september. i usually hate september, too, so that's really weird. maybe april. i usually hate it, too. huh.
19) Did you travel outside of the US in 2005? no siree.
20) How many different states did you travel to in 2005? california, virginia, iowa, illinois, georgia, indiana, ohio, tennessee, north carolina, south carolina. i think more possibly. i'm not so sure.
21) Did you lose anybody close to you in 2005? not in a death kind of way, but i definitely grew apart from a few people i had previously been close to. that's the way life is and stuff. transience, say what?
22) Did you miss anybody in the past year? haha, kind of. in a really 'wish-you-were-here kind' of way. i really don't miss people. i think i missed someone for a week in a full-on 'ohmygodimissthem' way...maybe...but i got over it lickity-split. [that is a name of a my little pony, fyi.]
23) What was your favorite movie that you saw in 2005? the wild parrots of telegraph hill. so, so amazing. everyone should watch it. it made me love san fran even more...<3.

26) How many concerts did you see in 2005? uh, four. i think.

31) Did you do anything you are ashamed of this year? i wouldn't say ashamed necessarily. it wasn't the wisest move on the planet, though.
32) Do you enjoy where you are now? hm, not exactly. i wish i knew what i was doing for the next four years.
33) What was the worst lie someone told you in 2005? one time this salesperson at j. crew told me i looked good in this hideous greenish/pinkish dress. it wasn't true. i looked like a head of cabbage. this isn't the worst lie but i don't want to think anymore.

35) Did somebody treat you badly in 2005? yes, he/she did.
36) How much money did you spend in 2005? too much on clothes, cokes, and candy.
37) What was your proudest moment of 2005? being an AP scholar maybe. getting in St. John's. running in 5Ks. being strong about stuff. [i love that really vague description...]
38) What was your most embarrassing moment of 2005? everytime i go into EW James to buy diet cherry coke. mainly because its like everyday.
39) If you could go back in time to any moment of 2005 and change something, what would it be? mock trial state finals, march in general, my SC vacation.
40) What are your plans for 2006? go to the college of my dreams [haha], love all my friends/special people, be nicer to others, drink more chai, wear more little boy polos, play polo/croquet/badminton, eat @ the rice pudding store in new york. among other things.
