They pose as glamour girls in glitter Stetsons, at night they're playing amateur frontier detectives

So, I just finished Camus' The Stranger. It was pretty lame. Existentialism in general is pretty darn lame. I'm starting Hopscotch today, and I am excited about it. I get weak for Latin American authors.
San Francisco was completely amazing. It is so diverse and eclectic...seriously, it has anything you could ever want or need in a city. Plus, it has some of the best shopping I have ever seen. My visit to Berkeley was a lot of fun, it has a eucalyptus grove on campus, a stream running through the entire thing, and I think my interview went swimmingly. I was surprised that the general populus really doesn't know anything about Kentucky (some kid at Stanford said, 'is it near Kansas'?), so I had to enlighten everyone about how cool we are - because this is not only a beautiful place but a nice one to live as well and I believe everyone should be aware of that. Stanford looks like a national park: everyone was playing frisbee, frollicking about, there were a lot of wild animals. I'm not really down with nature all that much, except in limited quantities, so Berkeley was more my style. University of San Fran was nice too, right in the middle of all the " big city-life" action.
Since I have arrived back home, a lot of fun has been had with Salvation Army voulnteering, college touring, doing homework, swimming, late-nights at Wal-Mart, picnics, drive-in movies, catching fireflies, writing, swinging, playing in parks, dinners, eating ice cream, getting lost, Casa lunch dates, running in 5Ks, and watching movies.
I leave soon for Iowa. I can't wait to be writing all day long with people from all over the country. I hope they want to be my friend even if I have a thick accent and freckles! I am so excited though...you all have to write me letters! I will post my address later on, but it would make me giggle to recieve notes from the homested. I can't believe I don't get home until 2 days before school starts. That is crazy...this summer has been wild.
The play, A Midsummer Night's Dream, was so, so good. Excellent job Rhianna, Marcie, Turner, and everyone else! I am going to audition to be in the fall production of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. sweeeeet.
I have a really good feeling about our senior year, we will all have so much fun.
If you want some cool summer jams, listen to Michael Franti, Tullycraft, and The Sea and Cake.
Tomorrow I voulnteer all day at the Shakespeare for Kids Program at RAAC, and then Wednesday I am taking a roadtrip to tour Denison and Oberlin. hothothot.
I get weak for Pre-Raphaelite paintings. So does Andrew Lloyd Webber.
AP Scores in 3 days. boo.
I woke up early to collage lightswitch covers and work on my St. John's application, so I better get back to it.
Sometimes I wish I were from Cyprus so I could say "I'm a Cypriot".
