So, I must confess, I am grumpy a little.
or maybe I just haven't been sleeping.
For some reason, I have not been able to sleep at all this week, and when I do I have been having the craziest dreams. I have had a lot of deja vu this week.
We have been prom building, and it looks so pretty. Tonight, we set it all up and then tomorrow is the big day. Yesterday, Mary from the Herald (the lady that heads up our teen board) came and talked to us about it prom and she is doing an article on all the time, energy, and effort that goes into prom. Hopefully, it will be neat.
I will be housing 600 roses in my garage for the next 24 hours. I think I will sing Braid the whole time. If you want a rose, come get one.
I hope all of y'all have an awesome time at prom and enjoy it...even if it does snow.
The Little Prince/Keeneland were lovely this weekend. I think I enjoy opera, it is very interesting.
4 1/2 weeks of school left, and I cannot wait at all. My AP Psych stuff is almost over completely, we just have a unit test and a final left, which will give me a pretty much free period during the day.
I can't get into Native Son at all -- it just doesn't interest me. It is really, really graphic. I am reading Naked Lunch, though, and enjoying it. Has anyone else read it?
I am so excited about Iowa, I really can't wait to experience living in a community of writers for such a long time. My life plan is to now, after undergrad work (hopefully @ St. Johns), I will get my M.F.A. in creative writing from the Iowa Writer's Studio, and then go onto law school after that to get my J.D. at some really awesome school. It is my plan, right? right. sounds good.
I can't wait to get my pedicure. It will be orange and juicy. yum.
