Winter is upon us

New York is having its first snow day today.
So far, it's just a flurry with not much on the ground.
It's cold as all get-out, but I still get a kick out of snow.

I've been reading a lot lately, which feels good.
"Gentlemen of the Road" was unremarkable, but I just finished "The Yiddish Policemen's Union" which was very satisfying.
Michael Chabon still needs to work on getting his run-on sentence addiction under control, but the book was great.
I finished a collection of H.P. Lovecraft/August Derleth short stories, some of which were quite tasty.
It's hardly the season for romping outdoors, so I'm guessing this reading jag will continue.

We're having a fancy catered holiday dinner in the studio next week, after which we'll shut down until January 4th or so.
Josh has requested total seclusion in the studio during the break, so I'll be doing work from home, if at all.
One thing I'll spend some time on is a website overhaul I'm doing for my friend Megan from Santa Cruz.
I'm learning some cool tricks with JavaScript as I go.
And the best part?
She's paying me in homemade fudge!
