Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to all my friends online and in real life that read this! we have this thing on new years in south philly called a mummer...and this is aiden's first year really getting into them. they are men that dress up in sequin and feather satin dresses, doing a special dance and carrying satin colorful umbrellas and spray paint their sneakers gold. if you wanna see more about them here's a link to the museum that's a few blocks from my house:

mummer's are completely normal in philly, although i understand that most people havn't heard of them. they come down my street after performing in front of judges in center city, city hall. and of course there's alot of alcohol involved. A LOT!
i only had about 2 ounces of a really sweet ahrbor mist wine, cuz i really don't drink anymore. but it was a fun day...and a lot of people in my neighborhood have this thing called open house. that's where they leave there doors open and they make tons of food and buy tons of alcohol and everyone they know is welcome (and urged to) come in and get something to eat and refill their red plastic party cup. needless to say i probably ate and drank WAY too much today, even with limited amounts of alcohol.
oh well, it's new years and i just don't care today. tomorrow, now that my heart drama has stopped, i'll be able to exercise again and go back to eating less than i ate today lol. there's lots going on, and lots to talk about, but i'll save the drama for another day.
I hope 2011 is going to be as good to me as 2010 was! I love you guys!
