[The video comes on to show the inside of the Goldenrod city gym. Whoever or whatever is holding the 'Gear is on the sidelines, and low to the ground (so likely his Eevee again), but the arena is still clearly visible. [France looks a mix between askance at Whitney and genuinely happy and impressed with Envy. He goes for the later, hugging Envy once he gets the badge.]

Excellent job.

[He nuzzles Envy affectionately.]

[Envy gives him a wide grin, looking extremely pleased. Praise from France is his favorite kind. He leans a little into the hug, considering for a moment before moving one arm to return it loosely.]

Well with all I've been training them, I should by now.

[France hums in appreciation, cuddling Envy fully now. Public display of affection is a go-go. He kisses Envy on the lips deeply before pulling back, grinning mischievously.]

[Hmm, Envy certainly doesn't mind that, and returns the kiss with some enthusiasm. He looks up at France with a bit of mischievousness himself.]

[He nuzzles at the curve of Envy's neck.]

[He smirks, and looks very happy with the idea of having something to give France. And as soon as they've left the gym, he takes France's hand to start leading him through the streets of Goldenrod.]

[France lets Envy lead him along without protest, much too interested in this surprise. He's got a wide grin on his face the entire time.]

[Envy leads France to the small music shop that he frequents, although since he doesn't really tell anyone that he does France might not know about it. He waves and greets the shop owner, who he already asked about this, so the man just smiles, returns the greeting, and gets back to reading the paper. Envy leads France over to the piano in the far corner and pulls a chair up beside it, grinning.]

[France didn't actually know there was a music shop here; he'd assumed that the bad taste in constant background music was just a universal fixture to this place. He's honestly really pleasantly surprised to see actual music might exist here. He nods and takes a seat, leaning back and looking around.]

I had no idea there was a place like this.

I found it back around Christmas. The owner lets me come in and play sometimes.

[He sits down at the bench, turning briefly to grin at France to hide his nerves.] It was a pretty good find.

Well I haven't told very many people that I can. I learned how a long time ago for an act, and wound up keeping up with it.

[He turns to the piano and begins to play. The melody somewhat resembles Moonlight Sonata, and Envy has clearly been practicing it.]

[France makes a soft noise of understanding and smiles gently in deep appreciation before settling back and listening to Envy play. He recognizes the Sonata the piece is based off of, paying close attention to the differences and similarities. He watches Envy's hands most of the time, occasionally glancing up at Envy's expression, smiling all the while and clearly, sincerely enjoying this.]

[Envy's expression while he's playing is a very content, calm one, almost unguarded. But once he's finished the piece and turns to face France again, his nerves appear to return. France's smile does help, though.]

I know you like beautiful things, and you wrote that poem so I wanted to...[He gestures a bit, searching for words.] Try to give you something like that.

[He looks down, frowning slightly to hide his nervousness. He's rather convinced that he sounds like a complete idiot, so he stops talking to wait for France's reaction.]
