[When the feed turns on, it's pretty immediately clear that Envy hasn't slept well in the last few days. There are circles under his eyes, and even his normally well-cared-for hair is looking unintentionally messy. In his free hand, one might see the crushed lemonade can he's absently turning this way and that. He's standing on the roof of the

[He approaches because he doesn't find Envy all that horrible anymore, really, and also because he wants to know:]
Hey, did you find anyone who'd take the blue thing?
[What is being sensitive. All he knows is that the bluething belonged to that guy Envy was fighting with back then, and not a whole lot of backstory Actually, no backstory.]

You look like you're in a good mood today. [It certainly was a reversal from their usual moods, on both their parts.]

[Especially on account of his two shins. Both Envy and Miguel had too many pokémon, according to Tulio's often-stated opinion. They took up too much room and work and care. Nevermind the fact that he did sort care for Bicho and Niña, but he was against weird magical animals by principle, here.]
[Tulio pulls a grin in response to that last one, that can easily be translated into something along the lines of 'oh, the suckers'. Slinging himself down onto a nearby bench, stretching out casually, he gets a bill from his pocket and proceeds to flaunt it by waving it in Envy's general direction.]
I think I'm getting used to that whole fake-gold-business they've got going on around here.

[Envy snorts when Tulio waves the bill at him, and takes a seat on the bench as well, putting his elbows on the back of it. Tulio might notice the bandages wrapped around his hand.] Yeah?
Ha, what'd you con them at this time?
Reply
Find the Queen. Classic. Works every time.
[He emphasizes this with a motion of his hand. And yeah, he did notice the bandages, and ends the motion with a point to them, cocking an eyebrow Envy's way.]
What's up with those?

You remember the guy who helped us out in that snowstorm? He'd gotten into some trouble himself, so I helped him. [Although even considering repayment, that's pretty unusual for Envy, especially if helping involved injury.]
Reply
[That eyebrow climbs higher, because he'd imagined Envy to be just as unwilling to help as Tulio himself. He scrutinizes the other for a second, but then decides that it's Envy's business, not his. But he does remember China and is intrigued.]
What'd he do, get attacked?
[Cause if Envy's injured, he can only assume.]
Reply
[He puts his good hand to his forehead.] Remind me never to get that kind.
Reply
[We have too many insane animals, Envy. Entirely too many.]
[He's not all that interested in the topic anymore, having assumed that if China wasn't okay after that, Envy would have said so, or at least implied it, or, you know, still be fighting that ghost. But he still asks.]
So uh, he's okay?
Reply
[Sensing Tulio's disinterest in the topic, he decides to ask instead] Are you pulling any more cons today? [The 'if you are, can I come too' is unspoken, but clearly present. This would be another example of Envy's sudden, odd concern to follow Tulio around a lot more than usual.]

[He says so dryly. Because 'death traps' is only a mild description for the 16th century so-called hospitals they had going back home. Everyone knew that if you went to one, you never came back. Knowing that things are much better here, though, still doesn't make him any less paranoid about getting sick. And while he might not let it on, he did feel a bit of worry at the news that China was injured ... because yeah. Hospitals = not good.]
[Buuut having mused on that, he gives Envy a sideways glance.]
I ... guess ...
[Yeah - he's noticed Envy's new thing for being, well, not clingy, but, you know. It's weird to him, because that's Miguel's part, and Envy did make a point of spending time with people that weren't Miguel or Tulio. - not that Tulio particularly minded that or anything, but yeah - this change was weird ( ... )

[Although when Tulio asks that question he tenses a little, wary. He didn't like appearing weak, and that was...pretty much how he was acting now. Weak and pathetic, following around after his allies (he wouldn't say friends) like a lost puppy. And Tulio more than anyone aside from France. But he had to say something.] Greed disappeared. Anyone could.
[I don't want to lose anyone else.]
Reply
[There's a stretch of silence as Tulio just looks at him funny, not really getting the point.]
...Right. But you two didn't exactly seem to get along.
[Translation = why are you upset about it? It must've been a good thing he's gone, right? And no, Tulio does not understand that he might be somehow important to Envy. He rolls his eyes in addition to his next words.]
Besides, it's not like we can do anything about it. This place is creepy.
Reply
[He shrugs.] Now I'm the only homunculus in this world.
[At the last part his eyes narrow.] Yeah, I know we can't. This fucking place can mess with us however it wants and there's nothing we can do.

[He looks very disbelieving, but ... yeah, it's whatever. It's Envy's business. He can keep his "complicated" relations, and Tulio will keep to his simpler ones. That's life, to him - keep it simple. Even if his plans seemed a bit grand at times, they were still simple if you broke them down. Why complicate things?]
[He looks at Envy with some interest, though, at that - while he didn't know much about Envy's true form, what he did know he found hard to believe. Buuut then again, he owned a two meter dragonfly and had found a city of gold and really wasn't one to talk.]
[So instead, have an "argh" noise in agreement and muttered words while doing the universal hand-on-face-so-tired-of-this-shit gesture.]
I hate being messed with.
Reply
[He nods in agreement at the last part though, frowning.] And these things always seems to happen the moment people stop paying attention. Who knows, maybe it's keeping us all on our toes.
I'd rather not be caught off guard. I figure if I keep an eye on people they might not be the next ones to go.
