A listener will be able to hear a piano being played; it's a slow, almost sad melody, but the player has clearly performed the piece countless times. [Since he had no idea he was being filmed, Envy's first reaction is to tense, looking wary and defensive. He only relaxes a little bit at Greed's words, giving him a somewhat suspicious look.] Yeah, who says I'd want to dance with you anyway? [From the way he leans a little closer to the camera and the look in his eyes, though, he wouldn't exactly mind Greed being there. He hadn't fit in with the rest of the festival-goers, it was why he'd gone off on his own, but...]

[At the question though, he snorts.] Yeah, you mean that yarn thing posing as a hat? It's in my room, I've been keeping the egg I got in it.

And I got the chocolate too. [It was already mostly eaten. He's still frowning as he continues.] What about you?

Yeah, the hat. Get anything else? [Envy was trusting that you were smart enough to figure out that he sent the pastries. ARE YOU SMART, GREED?]

[He stops to think about the request. He does remember some of it, but not all. It's been a while. So when he does start to play, it's several of the pieces mixed together. Along with his own embellishments when he's forgotten a bit. Since he's mostly making it up as he goes, he won't get too distracted if Greed keeps talking.]

[He smiles and leans back some as Envy begins to play.] That was fun. Remember how I got you t' ditch Lust at th' party with the players an' musicians? That was fun. [He laughs.] He was so pissed at us too.

He kept tryin' t' upstage me. Man had problems. Think he was sore I didn't really wanna hang out. Sucks what happened to him though. [He shrugs, then changes the subject to a lighter note.] Say, what's your egg look like? Mine's blue an' black.

[Envy is all too happy to change the subject; he doesn't like thinking about what happened to Lust. He's gotten to the end of his song though, so he just leans an elbow on the piano instead.] Yeah? Mine too, except with a big yellow X on it.

Heh, figures you'd like those. Dante hates 'em, but I heard enough while I was out on missions to have a good idea.

[He starts playing again after a minute or two of thinking, starting out slow but speeding up as he works out the right sort of tune and timing. It doesn't resemble a particular song, but it's definitely ragtime.]

Anyhow, y're gonna make blondie worry if you go off by yourself like that when we're all in town together, so y'better not do this whole hidin' away in dark corners t' play sad songs.

[Envy snorts, and if his hands weren't occupied he would have waved one dismissively.] Why would I do that once you're all here, I'm sure I'll be plenty occupied then.

This is just something I do for today anyway, I'm not hiding.
