Now that they've cut down the corporate name at Dunkin' Donuts, I propose that the new slogan be "Who would have thought the old man had so much coffee in him?"

Everybody's talking about Kavanaugh's nomination, for which the sacrament I prefer isn't Confirmation, it's Extreme Unction. Not exactly a sacrament, but I'll take Exorcism too.

I was at a symposium about art and activism last night, and one of the speakers said that Shakespeare never wrote a tragedy that wasn't also funny. Of course, by Aristotelean definition, our current situation isn't tragic because we aren't viewing the downfall of a noble man as a result of one tragic flaw. Kind of the opposite in fact.
