So I went for a walk earlier around the river, finally ended up by the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial. For those of you who don't know what this is, it's basically a big fountain with quotes of peace, love, harmony, and some big stone plates with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. As I'm walking under a tunnel, I notice a few jackasses had decided that it was in fact they who had built and painted the tunnel, and therefore should remind all who walk under it with a few large spray-painted signatures. Annoyed, but not really giving two shits otherwise, I continue through, only to find that the vandals had also remembered that they had authored Anne Frank's diary entries, and as the authors, had every right to sign (naturally, in spray paint) a journal entry on part of the memorial.

"Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart."

Indeed.
