Grarr...

I'd like to do D&D this weekend, everyone, just not today. I'm feeling really overstressed right now, and wouldn't be much fun to be around.

The reason? An epic tale!

So about Thursday of the weekend before last I notice that my laundry basket cloth thingy is damp on the bottom. Thinking it to be nothing more than a wet towel that's been sitting too long on the bottom, I ignore it for another few days. Sunday morning, I wake up to find that my windows have lots (lots) of condensation on them around the edges. It must have been from all the passionate sitting and watching Adult Swim I had done the night before, I conclude, and open the window to make it go away. Monday: same problem, and it's this day that I discover that I have a soaked carpet in the corner of my room. Smelling of mildew, it's squishy, with a smell that lingers for hours. Knowing that I don't want to be bothered with it for the next day (I had two tests to take, and didn't want anything disrupting me), I put off bothering the office with it until Wednesday. Wednesday, I tell the office that I think I have a leak ("leak" here will be defined later) and I get a nice humongous fan to make it disappear. Problem solved! Friday, knowing that he didn't want to deal with it that weekend (also, a bit of foreshadowing as to the general work attitude to be seen one week later), the maintainence guy took the fan, and called it good. I left for the weekend and went home, and thought nothing of it until I returned Sunday night.

Lo and behold! the wet spot had returned! It seemed that the leak, which was originally thought to have been magic water that defied all natural laws of chemistry and had, in fact, been created from nothing, was actually (brace yourself) coming from somewhere else!!! Yes! Incredible, no? So simply placing a fan to clean the water problem, while temporarily solving it, instead only delayed it.

The mind boggles.

So I go in, and pester the poor apartment officials with my silly problem (I am only paying 400 dollars a month for this room! Who am I to expect problems beyond my control to be solved by they whom I pay???), and actually get some nice gentlemen sent over to examine the problem. I'll have to now move all of my belongings to once half of my room for the time, while the carpet is torn up and the padding removed and replaced. Certainly this won't take long, as my bed room would only be functioning as a changing room at best while the carpet is torn up!

It seems that my silliness knows no bounds! A prompt response to this problem would be completely inappropriate at this point! Gritting my teeth and baring it seems to be the way to go! And so, because the maintanence guys are incapable of labor after 4:30, I have nothing left to do but wait it out this weekend until returning Monday.

Returning to the office to complain that nothing is still done.
