So, uh, the Tea Party Express rolled into Boston today. Sarah Palin spoke, but I was too late to catch that. Predictably, lots of middle-aged white people who love flags showed up to rally against perceived threats of socialism in a public park. Of course, it wouldn't be Boston without a sizable number of creative liberal counter-protests.
Without further adieu, picspam:
Are you ready to hear the words "Freedom," "Liberty," and "Socialism" 800 times each? If not, you best turn away now.
All the networks had vans present. I attended a rally a few months ago for health care reform that was easily three times the size of this one. There were no news vans at that one.
Short answer: "No."
Again, no.
Sir, I beg to differ.
Ah, THERE'S the Massachusetts I know and love.
Apparently it's not just conservatives who don't know what "commies" actually are.
Oh, uh... right. Of course.
It was so bad, even the clouds were hating on Obama. Fuck you, racist clouds!
Those aren't Hogwarts colors at all! Liberals totally SUCK at cosplay!
Now THIS is how you motherfucking cosplay, goddamn it.
Uhhuhuhh huhuhuhuuhuhuh. Huuuhuhuhhh.
Sarahcuda!
DID YOU COME HERE WITHOUT A FLAG? ARE YOU ASHAMED TO BE FLAGLESS? WE CAN HELP.
Little did they know they were actually funding his main business of selling Obama shirts.
White lady #1: "I love your sign. But why are those letters all funny?"
White lady #2: "I wanted them to look like communist letters."
White lady #1: "Oh, I... I see." (slightly confused look)
"IS THAT A CHOIR I HEAR? QUICK, I MUST PREACH TO THEM!"
Glad to see that kids as young as two care so passionately about Big Government's socialist takeover of health care.
"School day? Who cares?! Mommy needs you to be a political prop."
People LOVED this woman's very classy shirt. They posed with her the way children pose with Tigger at Disney World.
Do I even really need to say anything about this one?
Teabaggers are uncanny masters of recognizing historical parallels.
OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT IT'S REALLY THE TEA PARTY EXPRESS IN PERSON OMGOMGOMGOMG
Victoria Jackson sang some really annoying songs before closing with a rambling quote from the Bible.

Of course, there were lots of news cameras present. Again, for comparison, at the much larger pro-reform rally I attended I saw one camera of that type, and it may not have even belonged to a news network.
Nobel Prize-winning economist Dumbass With Sign proves to us all the New Deal never actually happened.
CRAP! CRAP! BUY SOME GUNS! DON'T LET THEM TREAD ON YOU!!
Well wait a second... what have we here?
Oh my! A LITERAL tea party? How delightful!
What a distinguished gentleman!
Cucumber sandwich, anyone?
How fancy! And much too polite to discuss politics on a lovely day like today!
GASP! Say it isn't so!
I must say, your assumptions are quite unbecoming. We've just come to the park for a spot of tea and good company. Hasn't anyone told you how rude it is to point?
What about three-syllable chants? U-S-A! U-S-A!
Of course, the Larouchies were there too. I hope Barney Frank doesn't see this, because he will feel so zinged.
