GACKT Party w/ Tessa =^^=
OK, it's high time I gave a report on my very first GACKT party with Tessa (sarahlgollum ) that took place last Sunday. ^^
Around 12:30, she called me after checking into the hotel, which is about 10 min. from my house, so I went to get her in my trusted minivan.
Mind you, this was the very first time I met ANYBODY I'd known only online, so I'll tell you my hubby was pretty apprehensive about it and told me to call him soon after I meet her. XD
I got there, and she was waiting outside the hotel. We gave each other a big hug!!
Tessa was exactly like she seems online. Bubbly, friendly, funny, sweet, and... crazy!!! XD (Good crazy, of course. ^_~)
She gave me some presents she'd brought for me and my boys. (THANK YOU!!!!)
We first went to Krystal's to grab a quick bite! It was Tessa's request, and I was all curious because I'd never been to Krystal's in the 18 years of living in the US! @__@
After eating and chatting for a while, we headed for Starbucks to pick up some treats and coffees to take with us to.......the Karaoke place!
My Japanese friend's owned it for 5 years, but it was the first time I'd seen her in over 3 years. X3
This is really a Japanese-style Karaoke place where you and your friend get a room all to yourself. WOOOT.
When I told her that Tessa and I were there to sing GACKT songs...., my friend was surprised and......LAUGHED. Well, more like GIGGLED. MAAAAAAN..... =____= She is no longer my friend. J/K.
Anyway, we sang lots of GACKT songs!
Tessa did a great job, too, despite the lack of any Roman subs.
Well, while I munched on the yummy snack from Starbucks, Tessa sang a bunch of TV show toons...., many of which I had no idea about. XD
She was on a roll!!! b>0Then it was time for me to take back the mike. LOLOL
All in all, we were there in the semi-darkness for about 3 hours, singing our hearts out.

It'd been my DREAM to sing GACKT songs in Karaoke, so THANK YOU SO MUCH, Tessa, for making my dream come true~~~! T___T*
But this place is closing at the end of this month!!! NO MORE KARAOKE~~~~~~ >0<*
And then we went to eat dinner.
I was secretly planning on taking her to a Japanese restaurant owned by my Japanese friend because they serve great and authentic Japanese food, and we get our own little cozy partitioned space.
BUT.
They were closed on Sundays!!! I didn't know this because I hadn't been to the restaurant in a long time, but....WHAT KIND OF RESTAURANT IS CLOSED ON SUNDAYS?! @_____@
They are no longer my friends, either. J/K.
Feeling totally defeated, I took Tessa to a Thai restaurant instead. She'd never had Thai food before!! She got curry, and she seemed to really enjoy it. YAY. X3
(BTW, our waiter was pretty cute, didn't you think so, Tessa? =9.9=)
And theeeeen, we headed back to the hotel and decided to watch the Diabolos live DVD she'd brought for me (since it's her favorite and I've never seen it!).
As soon as I opened my laptop to insert the DVD...., the screen filled up with BAKUGAN. *______*;;;;;
I realized my laptop had been raped (wut) by No.1's BAKUGAN DVD, so I hit the eject button to rescue my beloved Mac...but it wouldn't come out and instead....start playing again~~~!!!! And then...again and again and again~~~!!! KYAAAAAA!!!
I repeated this "hit eject and freak out at Bakugan playing" routine about 10 times.
I'd never felt more ridiculed by a cartoon show than I did just then. So not J/K.
The DVD was stuck. I shut down and restarted my laptop, then the disc finally came out!!!! Y____Y
But by then, I was so worried that Tessa's Diabolos would get stuck in my laptop, so we had no choice but to give up on watching ANY of the DVDs Tessa so kindly brought all the way from home~~~~~!!! I'm SO SORRY, Tessa.... I really wanted to watch the DVDs~~~. ;___;
By then, it was already around 9:30PM.
So, we just had to move on to the OTHER thing we really wanted to play!
Oh yes.
The Devil King's invention. Ohhhhhh, that evil, evil, pervy man...... *shakes head*
Anyway, we started playing, and about 1/4 into the game, I felt myself already exhausted. XD
Well, let me just say what I did to Tessa. :D
I made her:
- shout out that she preferred 69 to 99. (Don't ask.)
- stick a finger in her nose until her next turn.
- do push-ups 20 times.
- do sit-ups 20 times (or tried to. XD)
I also:
- drew one samurai eyebrow on her real eyebrow with her eye make-up.
- wrote 奴隷 "slave" on her cleavage. =9.9=
- wrote 見て "look at me" on her arm.
- kissed her on the cheek. =9.9=
- smacked her on her butt. =P
Hmmmmm, I'm sure there were many others, but I can't recall....
We also had to cheat alter the instructions given to us a little bit because of various reasons.
For example, at one point Tessa was instructed to give me ¥1000 (about $9), but since we had no yen on us, we considered it invalid. =P
Or, she was to draw whiskers and tears on my face with a pen, but since I still had to go through the lobby to go home Tessa miraculously detected my allergy to any ink on my skin that I didn't even know about myself, we decided to just use Tessa's eye make-up instead, which could be washed off easily.
Also, we were instructed to open the window and scream various obscene/embarrassing things out to the street, but since the window at the hotel room couldn't be opened, oh well, that was also invalid and we just kept the window closed. =P
Anyway~~~~, about 2 hours later, the game was FINALLY OVER~~~!!! XD
Tessa was the winner, and she deserved it, too, because she was such a great sport throughout the game while I was often hesitant/reluctant to do what I was told to do. LOL
And...........I didn't realize there was a penalty for the loser.... Really?! XD;;;;;;;;
Sorry~~!!!! I really didn't know~! Although, my exhausted brain could've subconsciously avoided it. LOL
So....I was supposed to get butt naked and do the Faraway jump while Tessa took a picture of me, apparently?
Ahahahahaha~~~~~~~ ...... *sigh*
Anyway~.
After that, we just looked through the beautiful photobooks and GGs Tessa brought for me.

It was already 12:30AM by then, and I had to go home.
I think we were both exhausted (LOL), but especially Tessa, since she'd driven a long way from her home and also attended a wedding the day before~ (and nearly drowned while tubing in the river!!!!). But she was very sweet and energetic to the last second despite that.
We hugged and talked about getting together again, and I then left the hotel.
It was a lot of fun, and it's amazing to think that, without our love for GACKT, we most likely never would've met or even known the existence of each other! This is one of those miraculous encounters that G talks about. This is how G love spreads wider and stronger. ^^d
Thank you SO MUCH, Tessa, for coming over and spending a fun day with me. I'm sure you were really tired for a few days after that!! ><
