Just because, I decided to download all the Daniel Craig 007s... Casino Royale just finished and OHMYGOD! His real voice is just... OMG!!!

Italian dubbing is one of the best in the world (they make an awesome adaptation, it looks like it actually isn't dubbed, but then, translation problem because duh, similar length words =/= perfect translation) but they have the very bad habit of not choosing voice actors that have even a remotely similar voice to the actor. (Here, have a sample.)
Since a couple of years I started getting original language ones, and it's shocking how much better the original is. Also because us italians give too much importance to the sound of voice in movies, so background sounds, even the ambiental ones, are dulled and toned off.
But in the end I'd always have to wait months in order to get a decent copy of any english movie, so it's easier to go and see it at the theater.
BUT LET THE FANGIRLING CONTINUE.

Very interesting, yeah.
I grew up watching foreign films dubbed in Japanese, too, so I know what you're talking about. Japanese voice actors usually do a great job, too. But since I don't need dubbing (or subbing) anymore to understand movies spoken in English, I could never go back to listening to any dubbing. XD
Like you said, it can be very shocking!! *___* (Japanese female voice actors usually have much higher tones than the original actors.... =w=)
Oh, and yeah, Craig's voice is so........deep and creamy and sexy! The Italian voice actor in the video has a tone much lighter than Craig's. D:
I keep drooling at the Skyfall YT videos, I've decided to go watch it again in the theater during Thanksgiving. :'D
