Big thanks to everybody who gave me their opinions on my Halloween costume. <333
I got my costume this morning!! \(^o^)/
However...., it's not what I'd expected to get...
First of all, No.1 backed down on getting a SpongeBob costume himself. (~"~)
Also, even though the store had the SpongeMama costume, they only had it in one Junior size!
I'm only 5'3" (although this is not short by Japanese standard), so maybe I could've worn it, but...the costume really looked like it was gonna be too cold outside (and I'm a chicken).
So, I grabbed two costumes to try on, and decided to get one of them.
The one I didn't pick was "Greek Goddess".... But the model on the picture was 5'10" (that's what the cover said), and I was dragging the dress like crazy! Grrrrr
So I picked the other one that looked halfway decent to me.
Let's just say "total cliche".
FAIL
(-_-;
If only I had more time to try on different costumes... (There were literally hundreds of them!)
Anyway, hopefully I'll manage to take some pictures and post them. =D
On another topic, sorry for my recent YT spam, but... (^_^;;;
poem81 and I were talking about some ghost stories in the thread in my previous post, and it made me think of Wuthering Heights.
I don't know if I can recommend the movies (either the old black and white one with Laurence Olivier or the newer one with Ralph Finnes) because the entire movies are just very dark and depressing with seemingly no salvation, but I wanted to post this video because of the genius of Kate Bush.
"How could you leave me when I needed to possess you? I hated you. I loved you, too."
"Heathcliff, it's me, I'm Cathy, I've come home. I'm so cold, let me enter your window."
"Let me have it. Let me grab your soul. You know, it's me, Cathy."
It's chilling.
Beautiful.
And very Gothic.
To me, the story itself defines obsession in the name of love (although I haven't read the book =P).
