OK, I guess this post's a long time coming..... 9_9
But where do I even start?
I want to basically talk about the current atmosphere of our fandom that I feel might be a bit stifling to some of us in terms of critiquing GACKT or anything related to GACKT. I feel like there's a trend in the fandom where people can't criticize anything he says or does

On tv and several of his older blog posts. When he talked about quitting smoking he said that one of the things he did to get over the cravings was to make out. So when he answered that tweet I thought he was suggesting that, not "all women should be ready to suck men's cocks". If he wanted to suggest that he could have said it plenty of other times considering the number of lewd tweets he gets to begin with. I just think it comes of dirtier because most things he says is dirty. I don't think he could imply something benign if he wanted to. Of course that's just my opinion if you believe otherwise that's your right. I just think differently on this issue.

This is an example of where I can't really discuss much further on the subject because I simply cannot see why they aren't offensive, you know? Which is, like I said, fine, of course.
I wonder if my translations just aren't expressing the rude and crude nuances enough, but I feel like the simple suggestion of "A good woman should keep her mouth open for someone important" in itself is clearly sexually offensive, no matter what he could've meant by it. It was his words. If he put it in a way that most women find offensive, then it's still his own fault.
"So when he answered that tweet I thought he was suggesting that, not "all women should be ready to suck men's cocks""
It was the combination of those two tweets that he posted pretty close to each other that made a lot of people associate the two together, right? If you only read the second tweet, yes, you could be right. However, even if that's all he meant, he also had the gall to say "women who smoke are out of the question" while saying "it's OK for men to smoke" by implication. That's extremely sexist. That's what offends me in the second tweet.
And the first one...
If you can tell me what you think he meant by that, I'm all ears. :3
But even in the first one, he also suggests that women shouldn't smoke heavily (while, by implication, it's OK for men to do so). Again, very sexist.
Thanks for leaving your comment! I'm sorry if I sound at all harsh, I hope you know I'm just disgusted by his sexist comments, not yours at all!! X'D <3

When I read that I didn't think he meant to say it was wrong for women to smoke and alright for men. Mainly because Gackt used to be a heavy smoker and wrote about why he quit smoking in an old blog post. During Diabolos tour he quit smoking temporarily and then went back. Then Chachamaru tried to persuade him to quit because it was unhealthy, but Gackt refused because smoking was a personal comfort for him. So Chachamaru made him promise that if all of the staff quit smoking he would quit too. Gackt agreed but only because he thought Chachamaru wouldn't be able to persuade everyone to quit. Chachamaru then proceeded to call every member of the staff and persuade them to quit. This made Gackt go into a hissy fit yelling at and begging staff members to not quit. Then one of the staff members Chachamaru called said something like "I'm going to quit because I wan't to be a strong man like Gackt". When Gackt heard that he became really ashamed for being a crappy role model by smoking and quit. Afterwards he wrote that one of the ways he kept his mind of smoking was having sex and even stated on tv that kissing was one of the things that took his mind of smoking. So that's why I believe Gackt didn't intend to say that smoking was alright for men and wrong for women.
Gackt already knows that smoking is a dangerous habit and he quit because he realized that by smoking he was encouraging others to engage in a harmful habit. It doesn't make sense to me that he would say "lung cancer is good for men and bad for women". I understand that he worded it terribly and that he could have said it in a much better way. But considering Gackt's history with smoking and things he's said about smoking in the past. It came off to me like he was trying to say "Sex is better than smoking" rather than "Women need their mouths ready for cock".

Well, I do see your point, and if that's what you think, that's alright, too. ^^
All I am saying is that, at least 'by implication', he did say that women shouldn't smoke, at least not heavily, while it's OK for men to do so, because he specifically said 'women'. If he meant this in general, why would he have to specify women? That's all. I don't know what he REALLY meant by that, only he knows it, and I don't claim to know. It's just that it sounded offensive to me, that's all.
Thank you, dear. ^^
