Wow, this got WAY too long...... U___U*

OK, I guess this post's a long time coming..... 9_9
But where do I even start?
I want to basically talk about the current atmosphere of our fandom that I feel might be a bit stifling to some of us in terms of critiquing GACKT or anything related to GACKT. I feel like there's a trend in the fandom where people can't criticize anything he says or does ( Read more... )

I was pissed off, only at a moment.
Its like, it doesnt really matter, cus I felt a little joke in his tweet.
But some fans that said it totally fine, I think they are lying.
For guys, it feels nothing to them of cus.
But to others, its a little offensive.
But thats only a moment that I was pissed off at him only.
After that I felt nothing anymore.
Its a matter of opinions, but some people just want others to agree to what they think.
Which I think it sucks.
Not like Im someone that cant voice out our opinions, and have to listen.
But nowadays he has been a little..weird?
I dont really know how to say about that cus its just a feeling.
And that term of keep lips open, like you said, it can mean lots of things.
It doesnt really need to be that, and he will be the only one that knows what he was saying at that time.
His words are giving people lots of impact, and I think that, he may be joking when he said that.
Doesnt think before he say it.
But it doesnt really matters now, cus its over, and we are not his girlfriends or wife to really criticize him.
But given his status, I think he should really think again before typing that.

"For guys, it feels nothing to them of cus."

No, let's not generalize. For instance, if my husband saw what G tweeted, he'd be SO utterly disgusted by them because he is a feminist. ^^

"But nowadays he has been a little..weird?"

LOLOLOL X'DDDD
Well, I wouldn't disagree with that, I guess. LOL

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't think he was really SERIOUS about that 'keep your mouths open' comment, because that'd make him insane, wouldn't it? X3
But he did say it the way he did, joking or not, and the fact is, it DID offend a lot of people. That's it.

"we are not his girlfriends or wife to really criticize him"

I don't know if I agree with that. I don't think you have to be his GF or wife to just simply say those comments were disgusting, especially when he was talking to a huge number of impressionable young girls and boys. That is just not responsible coming from a guy who says he wants to be a leader of Japanese youths.

<3 ^^

LOL! Thats true, but sometimes maybe he wanted to play with words?
Cus that simple tweet can mean lots of things...XD
But on the fact of I said about the GF and Wife, its actually I feel that some people commented on it in a way that sounds like G betrayed them you see..which I think its so funny in some ways.
But its true that, I think he should really think carefully before he speak. Cus hes not a kid anymore and he influences lots of people with just his words. @_@

"Cus that simple tweet can mean lots of things...XD"

Ummmm.... In those context of the tweets? Not really... ^^;;

"its actually I feel that some people commented on it in a way that sounds like G betrayed them you see"

Perhaps so, but NOT in the way GF or wife feels betrayed, but simply betrayed as fans who expect certain moral standards from their idol.

Doncha think?

who expect certain moral standards from their idol

But aren't they applying those standards to him? Like you said, all we have is just an image of an artist. Feeling like a real person suddenly doesn't fit the image _they_ creared... and blame him for that?

I think one can only be betrayed when another promised smth and then didn't keep the promise. Smth like "I'll never make a sexist comment/joke publicly" - and then this. WTF, really.

That's why, btw, I feel slightly... uneasy about him still smoking though he said he quit (and is quite harsh about others having troubles quitting. All those "if you quit you just quit, no excuses there" things). Cause it's his own words vs his acts.

About girls... he never promised me to be a good role model in relationships and attitude towards women, so...
Feeling offended? Yes. Feeling betrayed? No. In my universe, of course xD

"Feeling like a real person suddenly doesn't fit the image _they_ creared... and blame him for that?"

Oh, yes. Well, my comment was simply to explain that the fans (not I, per se) who complained didn't complain because they felt betrayed as a GF, etc. ^^

But in my case, I said what I said because 1) I would've said that regardless of who made that comment, not just GACKT; and 2) it was a surprise, even to me, to hear something that dumb coming from an intelligent guy like GACKT.
And like I keep saying, it wasn't HIM I called offensive, it was his comments. :3

About smoking, I really don't know if and how much he still does smoke. Without any real proof, I can't really say much on that. =/

"so...
Feeling offended? Yes. Feeling betrayed? No."

That's exactly how I feel, too. XD
