Relieved...

Boy, I'm glad the certain recent post has been finally taken down by the mod. (If you didn't notice it, consider yourself lucky.)
I was becoming increasingly sad, for the OP.
I regretted going to bed without asking the mod to take it down already, but when I woke up, it was gone.

I think the biggest issue was that most of the community either didn't see or didn't understand the line in the post that said "internet goods." (I know it took me a minute to figure it out) So a lot of people misunderstood it as the person claiming the work as their own. It probably would have been best if the poster had made it more clear, but I don't think the person meant any harm by it.

Honestly, I don't know the entirety of what happened, because after I made my comment I went to bed and by the time I woke up the whole thing was gone. I'm sure you weren't attacking the OP, you don't strike me as the type of person to do that.

I second what spaceprincess18 already wrote in response to your comment.

And ashu-chan, I know you wrote that to save the OP from further flaming, and you were one of the few people with that intention, unfortunately.

The way I see it is, if someone sees their own material being used without their permission, with or without credit, and wants it taken down immediately, the person has every right to request that and has her/his wishes respected right away. Period.
It's OK for the majority of people to "think" it's frivolous. We all have different opinions. But the creators' wishes need to be respected, and other people should not complain about such requests.
It's not the matter of "I don't think it's a big deal" or "I don't know why anybody's so upset, it's just a macro". What matters is that the creators wanted them taken down, and so they needed to be taken down promptly.
That's why the whole thread became totally ridiculous to me. Attacking each other over difference of opinions. =(
